Quinoa Onion Garlic 1C frozen corn 1 can Rotel 1can black beans Cumin Red pepper (optional) Cook the Quiona as directed. I cook it in vegetable broth. Sauté onions and garlic. When Quiona is done add all ingredients until warm. Serve on tortillas or with chip or straight out of a bowl. This so good!

I always run before breakfast. It works for me but not for everyone. I only eat before I run on race days.

I agree about the calories. 220 is a lot. I usually stay with the quest bars that are around 160. But sometimes I use these to replace a candy bar I might otherwise want. So a butterfingers may have 250 calories and this has 220 a butterfingers doesn't have 21g of protein.

Double chocolate chunk is one of my favorite too. I also love chocolate peanut butter. More so lately. I think they changed it a little.

I just bought them at GNC. Was going to just taste it before I bought more. Ended up eating the whole thing before leaving the store .

Oops sorry. Bake on 350 for 25 minutes.

Go to a running store where they analyze your gait by recording you run on a treadmill. They can tell you if its a good shoe for your foot, stride, and gait.

Just reread my post and saw all the typos. Haha!! Was putting it on my phone while drinking coffee. Should have waited until after I drank my coffee and woke up some.

1600 still seems like a lot less then what is recommended for someone to eat to maintain at my fitness level. But it seems to be working.

Thank you all. I decided to take the average of what I have been eating over the last month since I stated I do eat my calories burned. Average over the last month is 1600. I changed MFP goal to 1600 and won't eat my calories burned and see what happens. Hoping this also helps some of the anxiety of seeing my calorie…

Hi April. I'm Julie. I also love to run. I love anything outdoors which is hard to find in OKC. I don't watch football (or any sports for that matter) but it's nice to meet you! Welcome.

^^ this^^ Also, I don't eat meat. Well I don't eat beef, chicken or pork. I do eat fish, venison and elk. It has been fun finding new ways to cook and find protein. I get plenty with my protein shakes, quest bars, quinoa, chia seeds nuts, black bean burgers ect... Finding new ways to incorporate lots of veggies is also a…

So question.... If I am eating 1100-1500 calories and that's what I log and everyone else is eating 1900-2300 calories and that's what they log who's to say they aren't also underestimating their calories? And who can assume that I am? I could eat more if my maintaince weight was 123 at 5'2 but mine is 110-114 at 5'4. So…

I was I was referring to this. ^^^ Ok so yes I am eating probably 1400 since I am eating my workout calories. I have set MFP at 1100. However, I am not eating what MFP and what everything on the Internet says I should to be eating for maintance. But, I am maintaining anywhere from 110-113. All I'm saying is I am not off…

Ok. You all make good points. And again I am eating my activity calories. And why would I lie about my activity?? MFP is set at 1100 if I burn 600 calories running that day then I do eat those back. So yes I do eat more then 1100 on most days. But not as much as most people say I should. However, I am maintaining. I will…

Thank you for your replies. I don't weigh those but I do measure and count. I don't weigh my tortilla's because it's on the package. I don't weigh my oil but I measure out. I have maintained this weight for quite a while now (1-2 years). I actually think I'm going to increase my calories some since I've started lifting and…

Thanks!

I am 5'4 41 years old. Body fat when I had it measured before I started lifting constantly was 19. That's what I did at the gym with one of those hand held things. I'm not sure how accurate those are. Thank you all for your replies.

I don't eat much on a daily bases that has to be weighed. Grilled veggies, low carb tortillas, protein shakes, oatmeal, fruit (that I measure out if like blueberries). I don't eat meat and measure things like tuna, mayo, oil, nuts and beans ect... I measure in measuring cups things that can be measured that way just not…

Thank you!! You answered my question!

Thanks. I guess I'll just keep doing what I'm doing and not think about it since it's working

I have been logging for over 210 days now. I think I log fairly accurate. I really only eat healthy. I would be VERY surprised if I was way off on my logging. I don't weigh my food but almost always log higher then I ate if there is a question on the portion size.
-
I realize "accurate" may not be the accurate word here  . I log everything it may be off a little based on actual intake and portion size but it is as accurate as I can make it. I know I'm not eating 2000 calories a day. Which is what everyone says I should be eating. MFP even puts my calorie goal a lot higher but I…

I feel great. And no I'm not hungry. I get hungry before dinner but not really throughout the day. I think it sounds low but I'm maintaining so I don't know...

I don't know how many in a week. I'd have to figure it. I can tell you I ran about 96 miles in July and 93 miles in June. So somewhere average 20-25 miles a week. Sure seems like more then that!

If you put a tad maple syrup in it it isn't as dry. I mean a tad! Don't want to add extra calories. I use it on everything I would use peanut butter on. I've even used it in no bake cookies

I don't stretch before a run. As far as what to eat everyone is different. I don't eat before I run unless it's a long run. But what I do eat is a bowl of steel cut oats, 1/2 banana slices in it, some cinnamon protein powder in it and some chopped almonds. It's good and full of carbs, protein, and potassium. Some people…
