  • So yesterday, I worked a full day (I'm on my feet waking around all day) and than did a hr long Zumba class. I checked my Fitbit settings and they are correct. And I didn't manually add my Zumba class, I just used the Fitbit
  • Thank you!!
  • I've set my goal to lose 1/2 pd a week which gives me around 2000 calories. I would rather have the flexibility to eat more if I need to and lose the weight slowly. I'm in this for the long haul and have about 50-60 pounds to lose. I would join a group if one was created.
  • I've had good luck logging my dinner and snacks first and than I know how many calories I have to eat during the day ((I found that I would eat too much during the day and not save enough calories for the evening)) so my dinner and evening snacks from yesterday are already logged today if that makes sense..
  • Ooh also could I make a pitcher the night before and keep it in the fridge for the morning to just grab and go? Would the protein powder be okay in the mix or would it separate?
  • Love Zumba I go 2x a week!! It doesn't seem like work, I haven't missed a class in months (even if my diet hasn't been on point!)

  • Some people have joined the group!! Can one of you let people know where the invite came to?? Thanks!!
  • Ugh sorry! I don't know why all my invites etc aren't working!! If someone wants to create a group (who knows how to.feel free) but please go ahead!!
  • I meant my weight..if I change my weight on mfp to say my goal weight to see what my maintenance calories would be, I wouldn't want my weight loss graph to be all screwy!
  • So glad you are getting the help you need and are able to be open and honest with your boyfriend! I've been in a similar position. I had lost a lot of weight and was very restrictive! But the more weight I lost the more depressed I became! Bless my husband for sticking by me during that time, it wasn't easy!! It can be…
  • I've sent invites to everyone who has asked (hopefully I'm doing this right!) I'm assuming it just goes in your messages..anyways be in the lookout!
  • I named the group special needs parenting if I miss sending invites I think you can search for groups
  • That's so weird, I definitely sent you one..I just checked its still saying invitation sent. Haha I'm probably doing something wrong!
  • Good To know!! I manually set mine to a round number somewhere between my 1 pd and 1/2 a pd (closer to the 1/2 pd #)
  • Let me know if you didn't get it :)
  • I sent you an invite to join last night
  • I figured it out and created a group! Let's chat, talk about our kids and offer support! I made the group private so everyone feel comfortable talking about whatever without judgement! Let me know if you would like to join and I will send you an invite!!
  • I would love to start a group as well!! I don't know how either! It's so nice to meet you all!!
  • Too much?? Should I be scaling cals back more?
  • I have my goal set to lose 1 pd a week which gives me 1700 a day. I fairly active though, I walk/stand all day for work, run about 12 miles a week and do one day of Zumba and a day of weight lifting. I have it set as lightly active and generally will use maybe 100-200 exercise calories if I need them. Does that sound…
  • Thank you so much for all the responses. I suppose for now I just need to log everything and know that, that might just be what I need to do to maintain this lifestyle. I've been trying to cut back on snacks, as they usually end up being the bulk of my daily calories, but I just seem to be hungry constantly!
  • I wasn't trying to make assumptions on how people eat at all. I meant for the whole 30 sugar is cut out. So I was just giving a previous poster who asked for advice, the heads up that sugar (while not in everything) okay you all got me there. But it is hidden in a lot of things. Mustard, spices, salad dressings etc.…

  • I'm not understanding this negativity.. It's just whole natural foods being eaten. Meat, fresh fruit and vegetables. Nuts and seeds. And it's 30 days. If you were to have say a granola bar as a snack say 90 calories. A low calorie snack. That has 20+ ingredients in it. Have you ceocerturf ever looked at a nutritional…

  • It's kind of like a fast..eat whole simple foods and get rid of all the chemicals and sugar and junk out of your system. So..apparently this isn't a popular subject here.. I was just asking a simple question. Thank you for everyone who offered any sort of suggestions or ideas.

  • Oh and always always read labels!! Sugar is in everything!

  • I actually don't consider the Whole 30 to be a fad diet. It's not even technically a diet..it's meant to be a short term nutritional reset. The idea is to eliminate food groups and reintroduce them after the 30 days are over. This allows you to determine if any foods are bothersome to you. And allows you to combat cravings…
