We had our bbq yesterday as well. I didn't eat anything before or after the bbq. I had 10oz steak rare with bullseye sauce , hamburger w/cheese, homemade potato and macaroni salad, baked beans, one beer and one cooler. By then I was satiated. Maybe even under 2160cals. Hersheys or any other candy bar is not real chocolate. Its like 20% chocolate and 80% sugar. Real chocolate isnt that sweet. Thats sugar youre addicted to, not chocolate.

Think about how bad sugar really is for you. Early man didnt need sugar, or even carb sources like bread, they were lean mean and strong AF. Candy bars and candy in general is bad for your teeth. Sometimes I take 2 scoops of whey in one day = 40 - 50g. To me its about taste and efficiency. But I still love meat of course. But real meat is expensive and time consuming. I slam a shake back in 3 secs then I'm back doing something else besides cooking and cleaning lol I'm a guy!

Then I do 4 stretches that target my glute muscles, hamstrings, and hip region, for the sole purpose of getting my hips and legs ready for some deep squat action...trying to prepare for oly lifts. Well just realize your body burns more calories while active despite your fitbit. 45 mins is a decent amount of time to hammer out some reps. I cant be too sure but I think lifting heavy weight > moderate pace steady state cardio. You dont need barbells and dumbbells you could use machines for leg and upper body work.

I do push/pull split mon-wed-fri. HIIT on tues-thurs for at least 15 mins. Looking to add one more run day and train for 10k in october. I eat whatever whenever and track. As long as im under my goal alls good.

I snack (healthy mostly) throughout the day. The only big meal I have is dinner when I cook for my daughter and I. Then it's back to snacking and tracking!
