  • Im a female and about 5'9 & 165 now, but when I was working with a coach @ 160-162 lbs I had my body fat % monikered....since I have a lot of muscle (I weight train and do cardio), my body fat was very low...so weight looks differently on everyone due to bone structure and amount of muscle. When I did get down to 145-149…
  • My friend took a holistic course and some of the stuff he was telling me is just utter nonsense, with no evidence or studies to back it up. Im a chemistry major, and any diet fads or stuff like that I ask my teachers about. Best thing I can say is if your having doubts, do your own research. There is lots of info on the…
  • I 100% agree with the above poster. Abs are a result of being lean, not really exercise, unless of course you have amazing genetics. No matter how much you exercise, your physique really depends on what your eating and how much.
  • I can sort of relate. Im in university right now and Im 100% a stress eater which sucks. Last year at this time i was in the best shape of my life, and after being in an unhealthy relationship and going through a nasty breakup this summer I binged and I gained so much weight. It was so embarrassing going back this…
  • If you weighed yourself the day after you ate a large meal or even binged, it won't show up as immediate fat gain. Just like you don't loose weight after a day of good eating, you won't gain a bunch of weight after a cheat meal. Your bodies incredibly complex and there are so many processes going on to digest and…
  • just wanted to say hi, ill be clean and sober and nicotine free, 7 years in january... was a hardcore daily drinker/user, then when i went into recovery I gained a significant amount of weight. I was in a 12 step program for the first 5 and just realized it wasn't for me. Over the 7 years my weight has been up and down and…
  • usually daily and then avg it for the week. I also take progress pics each week ,same day, same sports bra/bottoms, and first thing in the morning.. I find this a better gauge sometimes then scale weight
  • I can totally relate.. I was in excellent shape for a good year then ever since I went through a break up and with a stressful school semester I find myself reaching for food.. things that have helped me are: 1) I got a coach (I'm into weightlifting). She gave me a food plan. workout plan, and i do weekly checkins where i…
  • I find it more accurate and easier to say cook a whole pack of raw chicken that I know the weight for and figure out total calories. Then I just split it up into whatever amount of servings I need and divide the calories accordingly. Hope that helps, this just works for me :)
  • i log everyday, feel free to add me
  • just thought i would share my experience. Im working with a coach and he has stated many times that scale weight is just a tool. I go for 3 -4 week check ins and this time i gained 1 pound while decreasing body fat by 1%.. which is now @ 14 %...tbh my diet wasn't that great due to events and trips etc.. but it just goes to…
  • that doesn't really make sense. C4 doesn't build muscle, muscle is built from constantly working them and eating in a surplus. My pre workout of choice is nutrabolics but I've also taken C4 as well as supplementing with creatine... The only thing that you can take to get jacked is steroids and that isn't in supplements.…
  • you can use any TDEE calculator online, i used the one through bodybuilding.com, and they are at best an estimate. Once you have an idea of a ballpark number you can monitor your weight and make changes to you intake accordingly. If this still doesn't work you can always hire someone like a trainer, coach or nutritionist…
  • thats not necessarily true, i read a great article citing a study that was posted recently on bodybuilding.com that fasted cardio is a myth. cardio is cardio and the difference is negligible. nutribolics is my favourite
  • Lots of programs online, check out bodybuilding.com
  • Sort of skimmed through the comments, but i mean just because 2 people acted poorly doesn't mean all fit people are like that and are judging you. Tbh, your equally judging them..... Being judged sucks, I'm a 27 year old chick with lots of tattoos and when I'm in the gym I'm listening to my music, focused on lifting and…
