I was a band kid back in High School. Marching Band was what actually helped my lose about 20 pounds when I was a Sophomore.

My goal is to lose 40 pounds and I've lost a little over 16 pounds in a month and a half. I do cardio 4-5 times a week as well as lifting heavy right after cardio. I'm hoping to avoid the dreaded plateau by changing up my cardio routine and switching up my muscle groupings.

I usually love going in the mornings but with my work schedule, it doesn't allow for that. I fight for treadmills and dumbells with the rest of the 6pm crowd on the weekdays. But on the weekends I try to hit up the gym around 8am.

Hey Tanner! Congrats on all the hard work you've been putting into your studies! Igained a lot of weight while in collage and a lot had to do with my insomnia and severe anxiety. Plus the fact I love to eat food late at night. Oops! I wish you the best of luck on your weight loss journey!

Hi and welcome to MFP! I'm right there will you wanting to lose 40 pounds. I haven't put a time limit on it myself because whenever I do that I get discouraged but hopefully that gives you that extra determination! Good luck to you on your weight loss goals!

I feel you on the medication issue. My health problems aren't that serious with just Insomnia and Anxiety but while on my medication I've put on a lot of weight.

My goal is to lose somewhere between 35-45 pounds. The medication I'm on for my Insomnia and Anxiety has helped me pack on the pounds but I've lost a chunk of weight before and I will do it again. Good luck to us all!
