Sure, they all help hydrate you. As do the foods you eat, as well as the things you drink. Don't overthink this!

Mayo with eggs? Yuk. But then, I'm not a big fan of mayo at the best of times.

It's the first day of winter for me, and there are mandarins everywhere so they are my default fruit at the moment.

If this is a sudden change, I'd wonder if you have a virus or similar. Or pregnancy, as someone else suggested. If it doesn't resolve itself soon, see your doctor
-
This really is something for your doctor to answer - and if they can't answer and don't refer you to someone who can, I'd be questioning their level of expertise and/or professionalism.

There's 114 pages of ideas and discussion of bento boxes in this thread: http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/10043413/using-bento-boxes-for-lunches/p1

You could try getting more hydration through your foods - soup, smoothies, high-water-content fruit like watermelon for example, may help. I do agree with previous posts though, this doesn't sound like a regular response to drinking water. Definitely see your doc if it persists.

I'm feeling so much hungrier the last week or so since the weather started getting colder and the days are shorter. When it's really hot I'll still eat but more likely cool things like salad or fruit.

Be cautious with spray oil if you have good quality non stick pans - it can absolutely ruin them. Otherwise - use what you prefer and what fits your calorie goals. We certainly need some fat to stay health but if you get your fats from other foods then the spray may be a good choice. Also be aware that it's only one…

No one can tell you that - it depends on how many kg you have to lose, your starting weight, how big a calorie deficit you choose, how closely you stick to your plan etc. Don't be concerned about how long it might take, just get started.

0 They aren't a big deal in Australia.

Pretty sure black coffee isn't 0 cal either - but it's certainly very low in calories (about 5-8 from memory). I don't bother logging either black coffee or herbal tea.
-
As long as you have covered your bases in terms of nutrition, then using up some cals on treats won't hurt. Prelogging can be useful so you can see how the balance of your day (or week) is looking.

"Count" in what respect? It will hydrate you, just like water, if that's what you mean.

No so far from me. I'm in Western Australia.

That's definitely an oxymoron - if a food is bad it couldn't be my favourite.

Yup, it took me several years to tolerate the taste of Adelaide water - I got there in the end though. It is always safe to drink, but doesn't taste good. I don't have a problem with city water anywhere else I've been in Aus though. OP, if you have concerns about the water coming out of the tap in your house, then check…

Nope.

You can do either - just make sure you use an appropriate database entry. Eg rice, raw or rice, cooked.

The approach that suits me best is instead of setting out to demonise certain food groups and making hard rules about cutting things out, I aim to add more if the things I want to be eating - for snacks, more fruit, veg, boiled eggs, natural yoghurt. In meals, bulk things up with more veg, variety of whole grains etc.…

Something like fruit is never going to be a standard size - and even if it has a label (pretty unusual for the fruit and veg that I buy) you could only even see that as a guide. It's not like biscuits that get stamped out in a large scale factory, so you have to expect variations. I think a clementine is the same as a…

I don't know how you can know what "most" restaurants all around the world do. Poached eggs with runny yokes are definitely the norm in my part of the world, and I don't recall being served an egg that is broken, I suspect it wouldn't leave the kitchen that way. Occasionally I'll get served an egg that doesn't have a runny…

With 9 months till summer comes round again, that sounds very achievable. Unless you aren't lucky enough to live in Australia and your summer is only three months away, in which case you've almost certainly left it a bit late. Either way, start out with realistic calorie and exercise goals and you will be on the right…
