USe the MFP recipe builder

I have a few recipes (eg, mushroom sauce) in the recipe builder, so I use that as a generic entry.

I don’t like the taste of most of the artificially sweetened products I’ve tasted (though Jarrah hot choc and Diet Pepsi are ok), so I don’t use much of them. That’s just personal preference though, I have no issues re safety or weight loss. And as I don’t drink many fizzy drinks (except beer!) or chew gum, it’s not a…

Do you know if she likes/eats those sweeteners? While I think your heart is in the right place, deserts with sweeteners aren’t a straight swap - some people get digestive issues from erythritol for example. Personally I find the taste of most sweeteners unpleasant, and would be annoyed if I felt pressured to eat something…

Homemade beef and Guinness pie.

That certainly sounds like a good idea, but I’d still suggest getting clearance from medical staff as you have heart issues.

This sounds to me like a question for your health team, you should not be taking advice about exercise from random strangers when you have a health issue like this. In the meantime though, you can start with focussing on his many calories you are taking in. Exercise isn’t essential for losing weight, so set a moderate…

Sounds to me like you are over complicating things. If he thinks diet sodas don’t make him feel good, stop drinking then. Rather than trying endless different drinks why doesn’t he just stick to water for now? Flavoured drinks aren’t necessary, they are really just for fun. And if he’s not feeling good, that’s not fun!…

I make a salad with baby spinach, roasted sweet potato, feta, walnut etc - so this type of combo makes perfect sense to me.
-
But it doesn’t taste as bad as it smells! I tried it out of curiosity (though my husband wouldn’t touch it) and didn’t mind it. They really do stink though, so I wouldn’t buy one even if I could get them at home.

You’re a champ!! I suspect there’s lots of people like me reading along and cheering you on, so I hope you’re felling the support from far away (Australia in my case!)

Diary is fine for many humans, we've been eating it for years. Some people have an intolerance, so it's better for that specific group of people to avoid it. For the rest of us - don't overthink it, just enjoy it as part of a varied and healthy diet.
-
Yes, of course. Why would you think otherwise?
-
I don’t eat it - because I don’t like the flavour. If you enjoy the taste, I think it’s a good thing to eat, there is no shortage of them.

Get a FAKE tan (safer) and some flattering bathers or other holiday wear. Then enjoy your trip and plan earlier next time.

For a 5k I don’t think anything is needed, that’s a short time to be running, even for a super slow runner like me. For a half marathon I’d stick with whatever you’ve been doing during your training. Changing race food a few days out sounds like a recipe for trouble to me. Then you can do some research before your next…

If you are weighing cooked food, look for a database entry for “[food] cooked”. You can add grilled, steamed, roasted, boiled etc if that’s relevant for your food. For rice for example, I search for “white rice cooked”. Don’t overthink this! Yes there will be some variation, but every database entry is an estimate, you…

The calories are there - 127 per 100g. And we know it’s chicken breast.

Lots of Aussies seem to be doing ok eating Vegemite!

It's not summer everywhere! Im sitting on my lounge chair with a blanket over me and the heater on and I'm still a bit chilly.

Black coffee - I drink instant, but prefer a good espresso, or a skinny latte - which is just a shot of espresso with steamed skim milk. Probably around 70 cals for a regular size. And I've just remembered that I used to order a macciato from time to time - espresso with a dot of frothed milk. Although I generally like…

Cheated on who... your partner? Or at cards? Or on your homework? Im guessing you mean that you ate more than you planned... in which case go back to your plan today and don't get all melodramatic about it. I doubt you've "lost all your progress", but even if you have, there's nothing you can do about it. I suggest you…

Yes I've tried it - when it first came out in the 90's. I soon worked out that it wasn't logical or sensible back then, and my opinion hasn't changed.

Yes, that is going to be too little for most adults, unless you are exceptionally small or inactive. If your logging is accurate, then start adding some more calorie dense foods to get more nutrition and energy.

Hmmm.. that clip sure isn't hilarious. Maybe the rest of the show could be, but that's just weird.

Yup, I'm not being duped by my service. I know exactly what I'm getting, and I'm prepared to pay the price that is charged for it. That's my choice. Why is that hard to understand?

Stomp your feet when you walk through the bush. Or go to New Zealand, I'm pretty sure they don't have snakes there. For snacking - if you want to stop (not that there's any very good reason to) - play around with your main meals and see what keeps you full. I find if I have a big breakfast I'm much less likely to snack…

Hmmm, maybe I'm a child who is lazy, helpless and can't cook. Or possibly, I'm an adult who likes having a box of high quality fresh veggies and meat/fish delivered to my door from time to time. With the service I use (once a month or so), I still need to do the prep and add some spices, sauces and staples - I get a pantry…

My dinner for the last two nights was panfried salmon with a warm salad of quinoa, baby cucumber, roast baby beetroots and feta, with a dressing of orange juice/zest, olive oil, red wine vinegar and mustard. It didn't need anything else.

Sure, they all help hydrate you. As do the foods you eat, as well as the things you drink. Don't overthink this!
