  • I've been doing 2 work outs a day - PiYo with either insanity or T25. I'm finding myself pretty burned out with trying to do insantiy in combination with it. I'd love to start the T25 calendar on Monday :)

  • I'm terrible with snacking. I try to plan accordingly, if I know what I'm having for dinner I prelog it first thing in the morning so I have an idea of how much snacking I can do and stay within my goals. The evenings are the worst though because I could sit on the couch and snack the evening away. Again, I just try to eat…
  • Hate to sound rude but not enough room is not an excuse. You don't need much and it only takes a few minutes to push things aside. I am home with my 2 & 4 year old and every day they help me clean up the toys in the family room for me to work out. We push the table against the couch. It's been this way since they were 1 &…
  • Low calorie/lite beer or skinny margaritas. Usually I just try to budget my calories for beer or wine because I want to be able to sip my drinks and survive more than an hour like I would with doing shots to save calories. Do an extra work out that day, eat a little lighter (that will help get you drunk faster anyway!) or…
  • What work out are you doing? I know insanity had a work out calculator if you google it. I use my heart rate monitor now that I have one though. I know it's not totally accurate as those are mostly made for steady state cardio but it's close. I also logged T25 as "aerobics, vigorous effort" for a long time.
  • I take a whole wheat English muffin (100 cals) and make mini pizzas. You can buy low fat mozzerella cheese and top it with precooked chicken, tomato, onion and drizzle of bbq sauce to make yummy bbq chicken ones. My favorite is a margarita pizza - pizza sauce, cheese, a thin slice of tomato, cook it then top it with a…
  • I see a lot of mall walkers in the winter time when I'm there. I used to work at a shop at the mall and would see some even get there before the shops open and just walk back and forth. If you can layer up and go outside, I'd recommend looking to see if there are walking trails near you, many of them will be plowed or just…
  • We make sushi at home quite regularly. We LOVE it. We stay away from fried stuff and use low sodium soy. It's all pretty healthy because it's fresh but rice, sesame seeds and avocados are pretty high in calories so you do have to just pay attention so you can stay within your calorie limits!
  • Soups! While many are high in sodium it's still probably better than junk! Campbell's has an organic chicken noodle soup with Elsa & Ana from Frozen on the box that my 2 and 4 year old love. Soups are relatively low in calorie and easy to make! If you do feel up to cooking of course, homemade chicken noodle soup is easy to…
  • I killed it this week - meal planned, weighed my food, stuck well within my calorie goals and worked out 2 days a week. I got on the scale this morning and it was +.5lb! Gahhhh! BUT I took measurements and lost about 6 inches in different areas. Plus I feel better. I'm frustrated but trying to focus on the mirror and not…
  • I've seen other people's versions of it on YouTube but you need to buy it. You can often find it cheaper, sometimes used on eBay or check craigslist :)
  • You are not a dog. You do not need to be rewarded with food - unless it's a glass of wine :) Some other rewards, New outfit (especially cute new workout clothes) Bubble bath Mani/pedi - even if you don't go to the salon Hair cut Photoshoot - either new family pics or treat your significant other with some tasteful boudoir…
  • I am on day 4 of PiYo with minimal yoga experience before this. I watched the moves through a few times then tried them. Some seemed too easy and I was sort of disappointed in the ease of the program at first. My husband is also doing it with me so we are checking each others moves, we are some what clueless but we can…
  • My father in law drives semi truck for a produce supplier. He says that Meijer is picky about their produce and Walmart tends to take the stuff they wouldn't. We don't have a Costco here but I'm guessing the situation is similar.
  • I just purchased PIYO because I needed a break from the high impact. It's a Pilates/yoga combo so you get more of burn and a couple of the videos are even cardio based. I've read of a lot of people doing it with injuries so it would be worth a try!
  • Here were my before and afters from my first round :)
  • Hello From northern Michigan!
  • Oh my, how I could seriously sit on the couch all day long and be totally content. In the summer I have very little problem being active and not so lazy (plus my work schedule is busy) in the winter my work schedule slows, the weather is yucky and I am such a bum! I find that knowing if I don't stay active or at least get…
  • How is everyone liking it? My husband and I will be doing day three today. We did align and the lower body one. I like it but it was a lot slower paced than I'm used to!

  • The workouts burn so many calories that unless you are eating like complete crap then you should still see results. I ate quite a bit while doing the program to fuel my body. I found that the first 4 weeks I saw a lot of change in the mirror but very little on the scale. Don't be discouraged by this at all. Once I started…
  • I've completed the 60 day calendar twice and then skipped around doing it here and there. The results are amazing and just being able to say you've done it is bragging rights. As Shaun T would say, "you can do it!" Right now my husband and I are doing a PIYO/Insanity/T25 mix - I fell of the wagon and need to change up the…
  • Hmm...I can somewhat see what they are saying but... When I'm at home working out I'm wearing tight fitting clothing and often in just a sports bra and shorts so why would I expect someone in a work out video to wear much more? I have only done programs from Beachbody (I'm not a coach!) but they don't seem sexual, Shaun T…
  • I haven't done the 21 day fix but I've got done insanity, t25 and just purchased PIYO and am on day 3 of that. Insanity is awesome, I love Shaun T but it is not a beginners program. I think T25 is a great way to get started, they have low impact modifiers for every work move. Plus, it's only 25 minutes, who doesn't love…
  • I logged my snow shoveling yesterday. If it's super light snow then I either don't log it or only log 1/2 the time I'm out there. Yesterday I was sweating and definitely had my heart rate up a bit for the 45 minutes I was out there! I still only put in 30 minutes worth. I don't have to shovel every day so I think it can be…
  • I just ordered it! I'm super excited! I've completed insanity 3 times and done bits and pieces of T25. I fell off the wagon a few months ago and gained back 15lbs. I get tired of the high impact stuff and need something else so I don't quit completely like last time! I'm hoping this will be good for that! :)

  • The struggle is real. I used to work in restaurants and understand. Can you chew gum? Something really minty will keep your mouth busy and a strong flavor will keep you from wanting to mix it with other food.
  • I have a weakness for sweets. Dove dark chocolate minis get me through my cravings to binge on ice cream and cookies and all things sweet :)
  • Steps are steps whether they are taken on the way to the bathroom or out on a walk. I just got a fitbit last week and it has opened my eyes to seeing how much more sedentary i am than I originally thought on days I am working at my desk! I had my calorie goals set to lightly active and I'm ashamed to admit that some days I…
  • Everything they said is right on point - plus find some way to be held accountable. Not just by MFP friends that you don't know - share your goals with friends or family, post on your Facebook or Instagram that you're going after this. I feel that if I announce it to someone else, I have to prove to them I can do it.…
  • I've got to remember to do this! When we are social on the weekends I kill a whole week of eating well with extra glasses of wine & hors de'vours!
