Question for those who weigh in daily
I'm a daily weigher. I don't measure my success totally by the scale but I am hoping to lose 15 more lbs & I'm always curious about my daily fluctuations so I weigh in every morning. I know I'm not the only one here. So my question is, how often do you then log your weight on MFP? Every day? Every time you hit a new low?…

Sore Achilles. Strengthen or stretch or rest?
At some point during my workout today (Insanity Max Interval Circuit) I must have managed to tweak my right Achilles. It's now sore. I know sore muscles & sometimes tendons are a normal thing, and normally I'd power right through them but I was under the impression that the Achilles shouldn't really be one of them. It's…

Make up for sick day on rest day?
On Monday I was sick with a fever and cold so I didn't work out. My rest day is normally Sunday. Wondering if I should work out today instead of taking a rest day because I already took a day off or not. That would mean I won't get another rest day until next Sunday so its kind of a lot in a row. What do you do when you…

Dear scale, I hate you.
I know, I know, don't pay attention to the scale. But seriously. I had one bad day....one. Where I likely ate just a tad over my maintenance calories. Not enough to make up for a great week of eating almost completely clean and losing 1.5lbs! But it's been 3 days now and the scale still says I'm up 4 pounds!!! I'm so…

Winter runners?
Calling all you brave souls who run all year long. I've got some questions. :) I started running last spring and really love it. I'm in Northern Michigan and since winter finally reared its ugly head I've been working out from my house instead. I'm dying to get outside for a run though! I'm wondering what are the best…

Michigan moms?
Hi everyone! I'm Lindsay from northern Michigan! After losing about 30lbs on MFP I was happy with where I was, got busy with work and life as a mom and stopped logging which eventually led to not working out and then lead to unhealthy eating and gaining back 15 of the lbs that I lost. :( I had some great motivational…

"Skinny-fat" the struggle is real.
I've been what I call "skinny-fat" since my teens. What I mean by this is I look skinny in my clothes, they fall right, cover the flaws. I'm not overweight - just below that mark though and under those clothes is a far less than perfect body with saddle bags and a little belly that hangs over my jeans. I know, I know, we…

New to running - goals and questions :)
I've always wanted to be a runner. I love the idea of just going out for a run to get in a good calorie burn and to clear your mind. In the past I have tried to "pick up" running and quickly gave up because my cardio endurance was awful and I was winded so quickly that I would give up. I even went out and spent a ton of…

started a fresh insanity cycle today! anyone else?!
This will be my 3rd round of insanity - I did my first one a year ago and completed one last week though I wasn't commited and skipped a lot. I started today at day one, anyone else? I'd love some friends to keep me on track!

Evening work outs? A few questions :)
So after a busy day I almost said screw it was gonna skip my work out but ended up going for it even though it was late. I've never been much of a morning person, I would definitely describe myself as a night owl. I had an amazing work out, felt great, had energy and pushed just as hard, if not harder than I would earlier…

New to this protien shake thing - need help picking one!
After really looking at my nutrition its been made obvious that I need to get more protein in my diet. I know, I know, chicken, eggs, cottage cheese, salmon, etc, etc. But sometimes I'm busy and really don't have time to prepare so I need a quick filler. I ordered a bag of Arbonne's protein shake in vanilla from a friend…

Did you give something up for lent?
I was raised Catholic so every year we gave up a food/habit or promised to do something for the 40 days before Easter. Though I no longer attend a Catholic Church (non denominational Christian now) I do still like the Lenten tradition. This year I gave up candy and pop. The pop thing has been a breeze. I don't miss it at…

Pretty much killed two weeks of diet/exercise in one cheat day
I've been hitting it hard these past two weeks, 6 work outs a week burning 500-700 calories each and sticking to my 1250 calorie limit (though sometimes eating back 200ish of my exercise calories to fuel the workout!) overall I kicked butt and noticed a huge change on the scale and the way I looked. We went to a friends…

Have I hit my plateau?
So it seems I'm feeling a little stuck and starting to wonder if maybe I set my goals too high (or low really!). I'm 27 yrs old, 5'3" and down to 130lbs. My goal was 120lbs but now i upped it to 125. Last year I went through this - strict diet and hard work outs - and once I hit 130 I couldn't get any lower. I backed off…
