Oh my god, I'm so glad I'm not the only one. Not the grief part (hugs to you for your troubles) but all the other stuff.

I'm not sure what's unclean about butter, but I would think "substitutes" would be even moreso. It's entirely up to you, since each "clean eating" guide has its own definition.

Really, it's not a good idea to use the "with milk" total anyway, unless you're stranded without labels (like a hotel breakfast or something). Log each item separately based on the label that's in front of you.

It's been a while since I've griped about "verified" entries on MFP. Verified entries just mean that enough people have marked them as "correct" and it stops users from editing the entries. It doesn't mean it actually is correct. Always go by the label you have in front of you.

Eat whenever. Account for everything. ETA: CRAP. I haven't been here much lately and just got bit by a zombie.

Says literally everyone hawking every garbage MLM.

If you think it's taking a long time now, imagine how long it'll take if you quit. ;) Take your time, for however much time it takes.

This is where "google is your friend" gets tricky. Someone wants to know if "x" is true, someone else snarkily says to google it, and you get "diet sodas cause weight gain." They don't cause weight gain or slow weight loss. If someone anecdotally finds that it does, they need to check their calorie intake. REALLY check it.…

(Had to add some Futurama love to the thread. Opinions are like appendices. They're mostly harmless, but sometimes they become inflammed and need to be removed with a knife.

44DD to 38 (or 36?) C. I'm not happy about it, but they were always pretty dumpy anyway, so I'm not mad about it, either.

Sup, Mr. Marx? Any substance that will increase your metabolism in a meaningful way, outside the standard margin or error that comes with calorie control, will also make you insanely ill and/or kill you.
-
Baby steps, for sure. Eventually, a calorie-controlled diet of fast food and frozen dinners lost its appeal to me, but it was still the best thing I ever did for myself. It was a stepping stone to learning about portions and nutrition, which ultimately resulted in a more balanced and healthful diet overall, on my own terms.

Eh. I put 225 on my pistol permit application, and lost probably another 25 by the time I got approved and went to get the permit. I just left it 225. Looking forward to renewing. Hopefully I won't have to jump through any extra hoops. CT driver's licenses don't list weight, but the height on mine is 1" too tall for some…

Hope he stretched before that ridiculous reach.

I was able to do it, but it's ok if you don't. Honestly I was bracing myself for the hit to my ego, and was really surprised that I actually managed to finish. Just take it easy.

The thing about medication side effects is that you don't know what will happen until you actually use them. The potential side effects are listed on the insert, but that's just what COULD happen. What ACTUALLY happens varies from person to person. Getting input from others isn't going to be as helpful as you think. My…

Once I started pushing myself to drink cafeteria coffee at work black, all other black coffee tastes amazing. Victor Allen: Amazing. Green Mountain: Amazing. Great Value: Amazing. Instant coffee crystals: Tolerable in a pinch. Cafeteria coffee: *shudder*

Day of the race: A beautiful, sunny 60° Spring day. Welcome to CT!

The white chocolate with toasted coconut and corn flakes. That *kitten*'s wild.

When I was doing it, I'd run it at the same time as Map My Run (another Under Armour app) which was synced with MFP. Btw I LOVED C25K, and I've worked my way up to running 10k without further assistance from an app. I never thought I'd be able to run even 1 mile, let alone 6. C25K fixed me.

This is actually really solid, and how MFP is meant to work. Once in a while, a hater will come along and act like counting calories or macros on MFP is promoting a garbage diet. NO. Not if you really delve into all the features of the program. Calories are only the first piece of the puzzle to take it beyond just weight…

Why are organic food and man-made supplements and shakes the only options? Please see this informative glimpse into the world of MLMs and take heed. https://youtu.be/s6MwGeOm8iI

Any product or diet that promises a "flat belly" is f.o.s., unless it deals with actual bloating by retention of water, gas or feces and you actually have that problem, but even then, the "flat belly" claim is an exaggeration.

I'm down with not shooing men away from threads about women's reproductive issues. It's some pretty basic stuff that men who have women in their life whom they love (in any capacity) should be familiar with.

I'm a woman, and baffled as to how bench=bodybuilding. Never heard it expressed that way until you said it in this post. Seems like some backpedaling tbh.

Just start eating better. It'll work itself out. Literally.

Confession time: I thought smart water bottles were a rip, but I'm actually benefiting from one. It's a Hydracoach bottle. Nothing fancy. Just a bottle with a little computer on it that tracks time and oz. I didn't (and wouldn't) buy it myself. I won it through an incentive program at work. The reason I like it is because…

It took 78 pages to go from "aspartame is usually fine" to "sugar is the devil." Nice.

If it was the guy in bed with the girlfriend, I recall that being a Master Cleanse story, recounted in many threads since. If it was the bathroom in the furniture store, that was the Alli/Xenical thread.
