I started a group a long time again that you've inspired me to reboot called dead thyroid society :)

Yep, it sucks, to say the least. We have to work twice as hard as everyone else and the added bonus of feeling like complete crap in the meantime. It is possible to do but very easy to gain it all back and then some.
-
its not just you I changed mine and it won't stay either.
-
Listen to her she's been through it and continues to be and inspiration to those of us with thyroid issues.

I sent you an invite to our thyroid group.

Mine updated first at 946am then it took until 5pm to sync again. Today was much better though.

Sorry no not everyone fits in the same box. A lot of people that have thyroid issues and they are not all the same but damn me If i feel better eating paleo or any other low grain diet. Exactly what I have done and yes it works listen to what other hypo people are saying here and not the ones that don't have it but like to tell everyone they are wrong anyway. The biggest things I can tell you are to drink healthy water lots of it. Chemicals found in city water have a negative effect on your thyroid mainly…

This is gold and I do the exact same thing. In fact I made a list of foods that make me sick in one way or another and avoid them. Funny thing happened I started feeling better and my energy returned. I guess thats what I get for not poisoning myself anymore.
-
My rule is if I eat it and it runs out its inflammatory so avoid or limit levels.
-
beef is inflamatory so in moderate amounts.

This is awesome advice. Having hypo condition myself and fighting it for years and feeling like crap got me no where fast. I even gained weight. It really is the food mainly inflammatory foods that are processed. Look at paleo foods too (not the diet) being hypo the best thing you can do is reset how you think about food.…

I'm not arguing against you on this I'm just telling others if you live and die by the goal line every day you might be eating more than you think. It could be putting you in a surplus depending on how close you are. Now if you have around 100 calories left at the end of the day it might not be a problem. Way to go on your…

The only problem with this method is fighting the urge to lick the spoon or knife you are using at the time :)

Flat doesn't always work for some foods steel cut oats comes to mind its usually way below the top on my measuring cup all the time this is why I go by weight and not the top of the cup.

There are some tricks you can do to speed things up. I've got one of those scales you can zero out with the plate and say a piece of bread on it (not bread for me for example only) and just add peanut butter for example till you hit the serving size. I do that one all the time you can zero again to add things like jelly or…
