  • Not the best start with an increase but it's only been 2 days for me so I'm trying not to pay to much attention to the scales. I know I can do this (and will) so hoping next week will show progress 🤞 Start weight Jan 4th - 159lbs Goal weight - 140lbs Jan 6: 161lbs Jan 13: Jan 20: Jan 27: Left to lose:
  • Hi, I'd like to join for the next 3 months. I turned 50 on Oct 31st and seem to have been celebrating it for months then Christmas came and I thought I may as well carry on with the bag habits 🤦. I lost 57lbs in 2020, got to my goal weight of 140lbs and last year was about maintaining. I struggled towards the end. I've…

  • Hi Michelle. I'm Jane, 48 and a district nurse. I don't like running but I love walking and cycling. It would be great to help each other out. Today is my Day 1 (again)
  • Hi. I'm pretty much the same. Repeat weight gain offender. But today is day 1 again and I'm back to following Lesley Sansome walk at home programs. Really good, get you fit and no equipment needed. I'm happy to be a friend to help motivate and encourage.
  • Hi Julia. We sound pretty similar. I've spent my whole adult life yo yoing from slim to overweight. I managed to lose 2.5st in 2018 was really happy with how I felt & looked but back it came. I'm now about 10lbs heavier than I was to start with so would like to lose just over 3st. When I'm focused I'm pretty good at…
  • Hi. I'm from North Wales, feel free to add me.
  • Hi. I've been on here a few years now. I managed to get to my ideal weight (4 stone loss,) but have struggled maintaining and put 18lbs back on in the last year. I'm now determined to shift that again. Having UK based friends on here would be ideal so feel free to add me.
  • You can add me. I've been on here a few years, got to my target but this last year have let it slip and now need to lose a stone to get back to being happy. I'm back and motivated for it
  • I love Leslie Sansone walking workouts. Easy to do at home, and you can put as much or as little effort in, add extra hand weights in. Really effective, if you do it 3 times a week you'll notice the changes in your body
  • I'm maintaining too. Been a few months but I find it a lot more stressful than losing weight as with that I know what I'm doing, so help & support from others would be very welcome
  • I enjoy Leslie sansome. I used to be addicted to the gym, but find doing a variety of her workouts really good. I've toned so much since doing it.
  • I've been logging daily now since January and see this as my life going forward. I've lost 3.6 stone and only have a few more lbs to go. Would love more friends to support me on my lifelong journey to keep the weight off. I'm UK based but friends from anywhere are welcome
  • I've had a Fitbit for a few years, and just done my own thing but I'd like to try some challenges so please add me elektra_king@hotmail.com

  • I'll add you. I've previously done this solo but this time I've added friends and I'm really enjoying it. Great to get daily support from like minded people.
  • Hi I'm Jane, 44 in UK. Used mfp before successfully but injury in last 2 years stopped me exercising and I put 2 stone of it back on. Been active for 55 days, lost 15 lbs so far, another 14 lbs would do it now. Add me so we can keep motivating each other
  • As a person who has spent there life yo yo dieting I constantly think about how I look. I really dislike myself when I put weight on, but love how I look when I lose it. I just can't seem to stay slim. It's a battle I seem to always fight. I'm back losing now, and determined this time when I reach my goal to stay using mfp…
  • I'll send you a request.
  • My kitchen scale is my best friend, everything goes on. You then build up a list of common foods you've eaten. If something has a bar code, I always scan to bring up the item, then weigh how much I'm having for accuracy. Keep at it, it's really good.

  • Blimey, are stories are all so similar. I've done MFP before, lost 3.5 stone, then a back problem put me out of action for 6 months, I changed jobs and just lost my motivation and put 2 stone back on.. I've been back 46 days, lost 1 stone with 1 more to go. Add me, it'd be nice to offer and receive support.
  • P'nawn da to you from North Wales
  • Been on here 46 days, lost 1 stone so far, 1 more to go. I have never done the "friend" thing b4 on here, but the ones I have are motivational & encouraging - I'd just love some more
  • This interests me, as I love Wheat beers. I will drink 3 on a weekend night and at around 250 calories a bottle it doesn't help weight loss. So I've switched to Southern Comfort & Diet lemonade. It's a lush drink, nice and light but low in calories. I allow myself 125 ml over an evening and I think that's around 240…
  • N. Wales here and only just back on MFP today so would love some support.
  • Hi yoyo300. I think my username should be yoyo, as that is what my whole adult life has involved. I'm very good at losing weight, but I can never keep it off. Every other year I seem to have to lose 2-3 stone. Losing it for me involves copious amounts of exercise and I just can't keep that up. I know a few people who have…
  • I used it over a year ago, it was brilliant. Got to my ideal weight and stopped using it. Then back problems put me out of action for 6 months so all the weight crept back on. So here I am again today, day 1 with at least 2 stone to lose. My opinion now is that this needs to be a life move, not a quick fix. Keep plugging…
  • Hello :) I had a rubbish 2015, after losing 3.5 stone in 2014, back problems stopped me exercising for 6 months, additional things occurring meant that I've piled 2 stone back on, but it feels like more. I've never felt so big and unhappy. So, here goes day 1 getting back to fitness in my 40's.
  • Fabulous - all of you. I always notice the small changes in my face when weight it starting to creep in. Even when others say "you look the same to me". I have a round face anyway, so it's hard to not look chubby!
