Belly pork and Mhadur Jaffrey’s vindaloo recipe. Takes a while but wow! You can find the recipe on YouTube.

I have a custom made kit. It's Finnish birch and is oiled, no other finish. It's awesome.

I agree.

There really isn't a difference, sugar is sugar.

I can't remember the article, but it was presented that you can live without carbs, I. e. They're not essential. The reality is that sugar is sugar no matter where it comes from. If you want to limit your sugar intake, then do so for your own reasons. The many medics and scientists here will tell you you don't need to, but…

This may come across as being blunt but, there is a heck of a lot of advice on losing weight in the food and nutrition forum. There isn't a magic potion in a tub that will help you lose weight.

Yeah, mine is low too, rests at around 50. When I was in hospital I too were setting alarms off. Apparently as I slept my h/r was dropping to 27bpm. The cardiologist wasn't concerned. I was though and had to have him reassure me.

Only thing I've given up are the foods that cause me bloating, cramps and general malaise. Namely bread (I love a spicy hot pizza), pasta, rice, grains and potatoes. I had some fries and garlic bread recently on holiday - I was on holiday!! Worst thing I could have done. I was poorly the next day, my guts did not enjoy…

This morning a feckoff omelette, with curly kale, a mountain of Parmesan cheese and a few cherry tomatoes all pan fried in 2 dessert spoons of coconut oil. I ate that at 10:30. Then I had lunch (two seabass fillets) at 14:30. I started feeling hungry again around 22:30 so had a few chunks of cheese. I also whipped some…

This is why I love this way of eating. I had a 3 egg omelette with bacon and cheese with a good 3 handfuls of spinach all fried in extra virgin olive oil for breakfast/lunch and a cup of coffee with heavy cream. I've driven my wife about, played soccer and had a bag of pork rinds. I don't feel hungry and I've had great…

But when you wear a support wouldn't you agree that your not giving your muscles the work they need to become stronger. Never have any of my physios recommended a knee support.

I deload so often for my OHP. I think it's definitely a lift to press on with. Deload or not. I still hate it.

Ey up. I suspect you may need to improve the muscle strength gradually. Try doing wall squats while squeezing a cushion or pillow between your knees. Or, do a wall squat, sit in said squat and raise each heel in turn. Make sure your feet are perfectly pointing forwards. Doing step ups will also help - step up with one leg,…

Watching olympics instead of going to bed.

Where exactly is the knee pain? Side of your knee? Under your knee cap? On the tendon below your knee cap? Back of the knee? I suspect you may have over use injury, ignoring it won't help. See a doc, get a referral.

I've said this a few times here, I had surgery last sept. Before I went in for the op I was a 3-4 month novice squating 90kg. I felt quite happy that I'd progressed so well. I started back in the gym a few months ago and I'm at 57.5kg. I feel a little silly, but I've to take it steady. I don't want to be massive, just…

Deftones? Going to see Alter Bridge in December, though I'd call them heavier rock/proggish than metal.

Stuck mojo found themselves blasting from my car the other day. It's always a good idea to dig out your old iPod and hook it up to your car and hit shuffle.

There are plenty of other sources of omega 3's.

As mentioned earlier, sit in a squat a few times per day everyday. I started this a few weeks ago and could barely sit there for 30 seconds. I can sit in a squat for 2 mins or more now. I have to say I've been a little hit and miss doing it but, it works.

For tonight's evening meal I did the aubergine pizza recipe from dietdoctor.com. For afters whipped double cream with blueberries and raspberries. I have to say, my favourite thing is a 3 egg omelette with kale and a strong cheese, maybe some spring onion, too.

I do 70% fat, 20% protein and 10% carbs. Works for me.

I'm all for a crazy time signature with heavy guitars. Lately though, I've been leaning to the proggier side of rock, porcupine tree, karnivool, opeth, tool and such.

But it is possible to gain more muscle than fat in a bulk or, what would be the point in doing it? Minimising fat increase is the goal not minimising weight increase.
-
Bacon, butter, coconut oil nut butters, cream, meat, eggs. I think I operate at about 70% fat. Works for me.

Is gaining weight always gaining fat?

I used to suffer with ibs. I ditched porridge, bread, potato, rice and pasta, I never ate pulses etc... I don't eat much in the way of carrot and don't eat fruit apart from some berries and not a lot of them. I do eat a heck of a lot of spinach, cabbage, kale. I use fat for energy. Today I had 2 coffees with extra thick…

I can't be bothered. I monitored at first to get an idea of what I could consume a decent amount of, and what I should limit. Seems to be working so far.

I think you have to make a decision. Cope with eczema, get a proper shower or gym where you're comfortable showering. Personally I would get on with having a shower, I'd not pay to gym somewhere else if there was one at work and I'd always shower, taking hygienic precautions: a pair of wet shoes!
