I'm on Week 3 Day 3 of YAYOG with the Basic program and it's awesome! Gotta love those beginner gainz ^_^ I'm at 92.3 kg now and looking to reach ~65 kg (5'4", 31/F). My husband has had the You Are Your Own Gym book for ages but it wasn't until I saw him getting into it (he's almost done with the 'First Class' program) and…

I'm definitely following this lovely thread!! 30yrs/163cm SW 103.5kg CW 94.1kg GW 65kg I have some 'before' pictures but I think I'll wait a bit more and then show a progress comparison!

@bealio85 Thanks for the update! It definitely sounds like an opportunity to teach your body about better portion control. I'm definitely obese due to my overeating - there's no other excuse! >_< I took a half tablet of Phentermine 5 hours ago and I've since them drank a litre of water (about normal in this heat) and…

Hey there OP! I've been using MFP and tracking daily calories this year, and I've gone from 103.5kg to 93.5kg in four months! All I did was cut calories down to 1200-1500 (experimented a lot) and move more (i.e. walk to work instead of taking bus, etc.). Then I stalled for a month and decided to try Phentermine for a short…

Sort of related to scales - I had a digital scale for a while now and I got frustrated that it would show a different number a few times in a row before "settling down". Sometimes I just don't have the time to spend waiting for that.. so I got a cheap analog scale and I just use both haha..

@aly25_ Give your whey a try! It might do the trick to help you feeling satiated and reach your protein goals for the day

Naturally, it all comes down to your calories - certain protein powder have more or less calories than others. Choosing a protein powder that has less calories with sufficient protein might help you stay at the appropriate deficit. Or you can choose a powder with more calories (perhaps more sugar/flavour/carbs/what have…

I'm looking forward to being able to have kids <3 <3

Great question! For me, definitely CICO. Since I log everything I eat on MFP (trying to get better at pre-logging too) I've started to pay more attention to my mood and digestive health. I've been an emotional binge eater for decades and I've seem to always have had GERD (manageable at normal weight, exacerbated while…

Clever indeed! Thanks for the tips!

Thanks! I appreciate the quick response, blakiefinder and Smallc10! You brought up another question I had, blakiefinder. I was wondering if I should take off my FitBit during say a kickboxing class and log the workout separately, or just keep it on and log the steps I'm taking. That hour of steps is hardly the equivalent…

Above and beyond anything else!!!!!!! :D

I love this thread! Thank you everyone for chiming in and sharing your thoughts  It's been almost a month into tracking my food and exercise, and I've lost 4.4 kg so far. I think more importantly, I feel that my mood and energy levels have started to balance out and stay consistent. I used to be addicted to having…

Ahh!! This is one of my motivations! Glad to hear it's not only me  I really don't like how my arms just "stick out" to the sides in pictures...

I can understand that feeling! I've been living in South Korea for almost 6 years (I'm Canadian) and I'm ALWAYS stared at when I'm jogging/walking by the fitness trail. There are tons of other people on the trail too, but being an overweight, busty, foreign female must be too much of the "bizarre" for them to handle! :o :#…

Hi everyone! Thanks so much for posting on here, you all sounds lovely!!

I think it's important to ask the question: Are you talking about waist training/ extreme corseting that will permanently change your body, or about fashion corsets that change your shape while you wear them? If you like to have a cinched waist or a curvier appearance, wearing a corset can be a fun idea. Of course, wearing…

This pleases me greatly.

Weekly, I'm too anxious to weight myself daily to be honest >_<

I'd definitely in that club - looking to lose about 60lbs/25kg myself. So far (a week, ahaha) low carb food and daily moderate exercise has been helping! Some more friends would be very nice - and could make me feel even more accountable :)

Hello, friends. Recovery is such a hard journey... It's great to make friends who have had similar challenges. I'm a recovering bulimic and binge-eater, and have lived with loved ones who had anorexia. Living abroad and alone really sent me into a downward spiral. After hitting bottom, I never thought I'd get out of it and…

Hello! You can definitely add me as your friend  I'm doing mostly keto/HFLC but I'd love to help support anyone at all!
