1 name. Hafthór Björnsson He thinned out for Game of Thrones. He had a slight belly before it. He weighs nearly 400lbs and can do pull ups. His bmi is 42.5. I agree that I have a belly that needs to go, but to stay on topic for this thread, a bmi is a worthless number.

i've worked 3rd shift for almost two years. --> I weigh all my food and put it in ziplock baggies then freeze it. e.g., green beans are 4oz and ground turkey 6oz. I also work from home, so I can prepare the food during a break but you may need to prepare a meal and a snack before work. Breakfast: I make it 30 minutes…

Ive said how old I was...im 33. I am aware of what being overweight will do over time. however, being fat does not correlate to medical conditions. It has been shown many times in medical studies that blood pressure, heart problems, diabetes, etc have nothing to do with being fat. its a common misconception. people see a…

I don't count calories...I just know the average caloric amount of the food im eating. I weigh out my meats and veggies. I know If I put 6oz ground turkey, 4oz turnip greens, and 4oz green beans in a pan with some onion and pepper that it'll be around 500 calories. I only eat three times a day, so its around 1500 calories…

"There are two types of pain: acute and persistent. Acute pain tends to be severe and lasts a short time. Persistent pain can last for long periods of time, even years. It can range from mild to severe." As for your friend. She needs to take better care of herself if she is constantly having infections. --> "The socket of…

Believe what you want then. Ill believe my doctor.

All those people in those photos are 8/10% body fat. The va hospital checked my body fat last month. Its a bit insulting what you're saying. You've obviously never been seriously injured to the point that simply standing up causes you pain for a decade. Amputees lose the limb, it hurts, and then it hurts while the end…
-
i cant tell if youre trolling or being serious. not all amputees are 8% body fat and on the fat topic not all military are less than 10% body fat. Hell, the usa military dont even consider males with 25% body fat (female 31%) to be fat. If you can meet all the physical requirements at 25% body fat then the military doesnt…

I work an 8-hour 3rd shift five days a week from home. My meals are like this: I sleep 1230pm/1pm-10pm (physical conditions wake me up several times a night so its only 6-7 hours sleep). wake at 10pm. - Cook breakfast and eat it (have some green tea if you wish). - 1030pm - go to work. - 4am/5am - Make (in your case have…

looks can be deceiving. other than being fat, I have no medical issues (blood pressure, disease, etc) other than the physical ones I sustained in the military, which are the main cause for me even becoming fat (hard to exercise when in pain and those things I do at the bottom are only recent...it took years to be able to…

I work from home. I keep my foods simple and weigh them (more so to extend my food use). e.g., I buy ground turkey in one of those long plastic packages. I take it out and weigh 5-6oz of turkey then bag it. I do the same with my veggies (each type) is all in a bag weighing 4oz. when I make a meal, I grab 1 turkey bag and…

- $10 chicken breast = 250g average each ~ 9 days worth (I use 3.5 of them a month ~ $35, so $105 for three months) - $12 Chia seed bag = 14g each day ~ lasts three months - $14 flaxseed bag = 13g each day ~ lasts three months - $12 five dozen egg = 7 eggs each day ~ 8.5 days worth (I use 3.5 of them a month ~ $42, so $126…

You can get close to 200g protein with just 500g a chicken (not a lot), 100g fish, and 184g egg beaters, which is around 800 calories. This alone will make you feel full for a considerable amount of time. You would just need to fill in the rest of the calories with fats (9 cal per 1g (limit 60g though~540cal)) and carbs…

maybe she wants to look a little better in her swimsuit for the summer? You could achieve that goal w/o lowering weight though. Research exercises that would tone you and work on that.
-
im just a lazy eater. my diary is open and it will show exactly that.
-
When I was in the military, the diet consisted of eating around 3000 calories a day and exercising/training non-stop 4am-7pm. Other than doing that in basic training for military, I dont understand why people would want to voluntarily do it.

could just use these photos too:

Most bf% calcs are inaccurate. Occassionaly, mine says im 60%BF then 20 minutes later will say 20% then 30% then 25%, etc. I dont pay any real attention to it though as its just a function my scale has. If you want to determine your bf% an easy way, do this (for males): 30%BF = can hold belly fat in hand (if it needs more…

It varies from person to person. I weight lift several times a week and have it set to 1600-2000 calories/day. My goal, however, is set for 279 days from now (im not in a hurry). In 279 days (I track the goal on another website, which I wont give out, however, youd see on the graphs that I jumped 30lbs in weight while…

I think my dairy meets those requirements (minus the potato and butter). Should give a chef some ideas. :)
-
500g chicken breast, lots of peanut butter, and 250g potato. yw.
-
your profile image looks really familiar...hmm aint that soyou?
-
how tall are you?
-
its normal to gain some weight when you first start exercising on a consistent basis. Calories also need to be accurate or you end up eating more than you think.
-
you say oh dear me, but fail to realize what I just stated is the same as the last 15 posters....
-
More protein = full longer = you end up eating less = you don't notice that you ate less. its all about satiety. If you set calories to 1400 and eat 1.4g (minus fat) protein you end up eating less carbs after fats. If youre 90kg with 30% bf = 63kg lean. 63 * 1.4 = 88g protein. If you use 2g = 126g protein. Notice how these…

You say its a myth then give a link to a website saying its not? "CONCLUSION Hopefully you've been convinced that a high protein intake is not "evil." Protein intake ranging from 1.4 grams of protein per kilogram of bodyweight to one gram per pound or more can be beneficial for an individual involved in an intense training…

doesnt burn it. it breaks it down into components when it needs to (caloric deficit, eg). simple explanation: fat = energy + air + liquid. body uses the energy. air leaves by mouth and the liquid leaves by urine. everyone should aim for Hafthór Júlíus Björnsson big. :D
