I'm always looking for encouraging people!! Best wishes on your journey!! :D

you have my sympathy on the loss of your fur baby. It is very hard to let them go...... Congratulations on your success in having one piece of bread and by-passing pastries. That is a huge success in my book!!! I have had to abstain from bread products to stop my binges. I'm praying that I will be able to have bread again.…

Drink water and evaluate if it is true hunger. If I am actually hungry, decide what I am going to have. Distract myself if it is just munching hungry.

oh my, too many good ones to have a favorite!! My top 5 would be: oranges, berries, peach, pineapple, watermelon

I know your pain!! My diet as a child was bread and meat. I did eat fruit too.....sometimes. Yes, it is possible to develop a liking to some foods. It takes a lot of time and experimental trials. And retrying the food over and over. Plus, sometimes it just takes time..... I sometimes, all of a sudden, like foods I had to…

Fantastic!!!!

you should do what works for you!! many small meals a day may be necessary for some, but it is an individual decision/need. Should not be a blanket statement for all people. And, yes, some people do well on one meal per day. I'm a 3 meal per day kind of person, myself. little meals don't fill me up and then I obsess even…

WOW, very helpful !! I've been doing whole30 and never thought about possible vitamin issues.... My hunger is in check but fatigue is still a big issue. thanks for posting

This is a very personal question - as in each person is unique to how certain foods MAY effect them. I would suggestion limiting foods that you have a hard time eating in moderation. Binge foods. Generally, these tend to be the highly processed foods, which really shouldn't be part of a healthy diet anyway. But only you…

I'm back on MFP after losing 45 lbs in 2015 and gaining 35lbs in 2016. I'm always looking for kind supportive people to share the journey with!!!

I agree, protein will help hunger issues. Hard boiled eggs are good and quick if you already have some prepped in the fridge. Hard boiled eggs will keep in the fridge for a week. Make a plan of what you are going to do when you are stressed and feeling "munchy". Write it down, post it in the kitchen. Suggestions of things…

This is so true. I spent a year in counseling on a topic not related to food, but figured out I binged to calm nerves and protect myself. It is 5 years later, still struggling with losing weight, but have a stronger sense of who I am and what works for me. I also can binge on any type of food, healthy and junk. For…

This is awesome!! You will find that people can get carried away with their desire to be right and have a need to "set you straight." And I guess that is true in real life and the virtual world. You made if perfectly clear that you were looking for buddies to partner with. I'm not doing the BTD, but would be happy to have…

Is it possible that the foods you are choosing are triggering binges?? I did not read through all the comment, sorry it this is repetitive. I am a life long binger, and I remember my first one at age 7. It was toast. I'm currently 46 and been fighting back against my binges through MFP since March 2015. I have not been…

it could be any number of things. If you are truly hungry, try eating a small nutritional snack: fruit, veggies, hard boiled egg.

maybe a benedryl to help you get to sleep. or an audio book?

I never buy canned soup, broth, pre-cooked meat (not including smoked meats), boxed meals, dinner kits, pre-chopped veggies, pre-cooked fruit I do a lot of cooking and there is an endless list of things that I can make, but sometimes I chose to buy spaghetti sauce, Apple sauce, coconut milk, jam, corn tortillas, potato…

WOW !! This is awesome!!

know yourself and listen to you're body. LCHF does not work for everybody. I had extreme fatigue and felt miserable. But I do well getting 30% carbs per day and 40% fats. You really won't know how your body will react until you try it!! That goes for ANY eating plan!!
-
short term weight loss plans only sustain the weight loss for a short period of time. Gradual small changes you can sustain for a lifetime is your best bet for keeping weight off.
-
Totally up to you. I would say, if you are working out and you feel real hunger, then you really should eat something nutritious. think about habits that you can sustain for a lifetime. That helps keep the weight OFF once you lose it!!

Macro just gives you a breakdown of what you have consumed. It only matters if it matters to you. For example, someone on a paleo diet, their fats are probably going to be much higher than standard recommended by mfp. but, you can adjust those figures to what every you want them to be.

hard boiled egg, deli meat, homemade muffins, trail mix, fruit, vegetables, fruits cups, beef jerky, yogurt, homemade breakfast cookies, homemade granola, guacamole, peanut butter, cold chicken tenders, dried fruit, nuts

Great job!! You're doing great! I restarted MFP on Jan 2. 2017 is the year I kick these bad eating habits to the curb!!
-
Successfully finish current whole30 (on day 23 ) and do a proper reintroduction. Doing well on whole30, but kinda worried about adding stuff back in. But I have a plan and hubby doing it with me, so should go well.

I like Just Dance on the Wii. Probably not the best workout, but it's fun, I can include my kids and it gets me moving!!
-
I have also used Wii sports, Wii fit and My Fitness Coach but Just Dance is my favorite
-
Wii Just dance!! I have 5 different versions and love to do it with the kids. you can program your own songs in some of the versions to make your own workout. Not sure how challenging it would be for experienced exercisers, but works for me and it's fun

I also suggest soaking, borax and arm & hammer washing soda (different from baking soda.) I'd imagine vinegar would help to, but hesitant to recommend in washer. I recently read front loaders seals can be damaged my vinegar...... I wouldn't use the perfume-y stuff either!! talk about instant migraine!!
