Great job!!

and if you don't hear from her or someone in the clinic, bring that up too. be sure and bring up ALL your questions and concerns when you go in. make a list of everything, however small it may be, get your monies worth out of your visit

Sometimes you have to have the "Come to Jesus" talk with others to get them to see your point of view and often it has to be done in a "blunt" manner. I'm just glad to hear that they've approved your surgery and in such a short time ("only 3 days"). So vent all you want, that's what we're here for. We've got your back,…

great article. I've forwarded it to a couple of "know it all" family members who think having WLS is the "easy way out"
-
gloat all you want to. any loss that get's you closer to your goal is something to brag about

best wishes for a speedy recovery. remember, sip and walk, sip and walk

I agree with the others: notify the police and the store manager(s) about the attack. and I would take a basic self-defense class of some type. your state may have specific laws concerning the ownership of a taser, but carrying mace normally isn't an issue (and it's a whole lot cheaper) and works really well when sprayed…

great job. keep it up. and yes I know the feeling too, except mine was at the movie theater, I could put the arm rest down between my wife and I.

sounds great, what a great way to start the New Year
-
I've humped many a rucksack over the years, but never one that weighed 137 lbs. not sure if I could even do it. and no, I'm not going back to the old me

after spending over 20 years in the Army, I can guarantee you that the troops greatly appreciate getting them!
-
keep up the good work and definitely keep the great positive attitude going
-
mine was pretty much the same. no major pain and it definitely didn't feel like I had been beat up or done a million situps

MFP can give you a base amount to work with, of course though, it's based on a non-surgical patient. since all of us are different, your best advice would come from your surgeon and nutritionist
-
I chose the VSG because it required less "rerouting" and didn't have as many possible side-effects as the RNY like dumping and malabsorption. of course, like pennysteed, my surgeon had the right to make any last minute changes if necessary

That's GREAT!! of course you'll find that even here there are a few "haters" of the BMI numbers. just so happens that I'm not one of them. when I began this journey, the only goal set for me was by my NUT, and he just wanted me to get my BMI to less than 25. so I know just how you feel, I like the idea of seeing anything…

sounds like you got the sipping down, just make sure you get some walking in too. if you're having trouble sleeping - if you have a recliner, that helps out with getting comfortable enough to sleep
-
there's a few of us that still check in from time to time but most are on some of the other discussion groups daily
-
I remember that one too, it's a very good one!
-
when I first started this journey, my NUT recommended only weighing weekly while trying to lose but to weigh myself daily when I switch to maintenance.
-
great demonstration!
-
you're probably not doing anything wrong, unless you're not following your dr's instructions. many have a "stall" around the 3-5 week period.

I agree with aylajane. I have the same issue of too many years of fast eating and still finish a meal in 10-15 minutes. but with no more than I can eat, it's just the right amount of time for me. the relatively small amount of time still allows my "fullness triggers" to kick in

that sushi look good, anbrdr
