My biggest piece of advice would be to put yourself on a daily schedule. Wake up at the same time every day, work out around the same time, and eat at the same time every day. For example: I wake up at 5 am to exercise, I eat breakfast at about 8, have lunch at 12 pm, a snack at 4, and dinner at about 7:30! My daily…

I have found that the root cause of my bingeing episodes is being overly tired. Also, not drinking enough water will trigger carb cravings every. single. time. It sounds like to me you are not taking in enough calories for your activity level! I would slowly increase your intake by 100 to 200 cals at a time and see if you…

Make sure you are being as accurate as possible with your tracking! I recommend a food scale! You can buy one really cheap on Amazon. I know I have a bad habit of grabbing little bites of food here and there throughout the day. Before I know it I've consumed an extra 200 calories without even thinking! Also, every little…

My husband is an excellent cook and we eat out often. I have lost 100+ pounds over the last 2 years. I try to save the majority of my calories for the dinners my husband cooks, and eat as clean as possible for the rest of the time. When ordering out, I always get a lean protein like chicken or fish and plenty of veggies. I…

First of all, I'm sorry for your loss. I have been through a miscarriage and they're hard. Just try and be easy on yourself during this stressful time. If doing the bare minimum to get by is all you can do, then do that. Try to keep up your water intake and focus on getting enough sleep. Those two things make SUCH a huge…

Pork rinds are pretty low carb and taste good to me, but they smell like a musty dog! LOL

And I agree with asking for things on the side. If a meat has bbq, cheese, etc on it, I will ask for it on the side.

I always order as lean of a protein as I can get. Most places have grilled chicken on the menu. I also get some type of steamed vegetable on the side. and when all else fails, a salad with a vinaigrette-based dressing or a broth-based soup is a decent option. I feel like the safest options while eating out is to go as low…

Yes! I always get insatiable cravings the week leading up to my period. Sometimes during as well. It's hard. Almost as if I'm not in my right mind! I am still practicing trial and error to find things that help. Here is a list of things that have helped me so far: -Practice intermittent fasting on the really tough days.…

In the past I have tried Plexus and Weight Watchers. Neither of the two worked for me because I wasn't serious about my weight loss back then. Good 'ole MFP and simple calorie counting is what finally worked. Not because it's magic, but because I put in the hard work and dedication. 100 pounds down! I'm a firm believer…

I have lost 100 pounds. Starting out I never even exercised because i had just had a baby and had no time or energy. All I worried about was tracking my calories. Taking it slow and only losing about one to two pounds per week was the best thing ever did. It has helped make it easier to keep off. You have to be patient and…

I have enjoyed either a Coke Zero, Diet Coke or Diet Dr. Pepper regularly throughout my entire weight loss journey. I have lost 100 pounds. They actually help curb my appetite.

I enjoy a cup of hot chocolate after dinner! It feels filling and satisfies my sweet tooth for around 80 calories- the same as a fun-sized snickers.

@fbref9 Thank you very much!!

Thank you both so much! I still struggle with comfort eating every day. But as long as you are working at it it will get better!

Friend request sent!! Wow, we are very similar! I have finally broke away from 153 and I am now down to 149! My goal is still to fluctuate around 145 but I will reevaluate when I get there! I agree on the comfort spot. If I continue to lose weight after 145 I may just let that happen!

Thanks so much, MFP buddy!

Thank you to you both! :)

Yes, more hard work than I could imagine at the beginning! I have learned that it's such a mental game. Thank you!!

I started off with at-home youtube videos ranging from yoga to strength workouts using body weight. I have always walked/jogged a couple days per week on my entire journey. Currently, I am following a basic weight lifting schedule that my husband made for me! I exercise three days per week.

I started my journey solely with counting calories. I lost a significant amount of weight before I even considered getting in any exercise! It can be done! Proper nutrition/your diet is the majority of weight loss.

@elisa123gal I'm so happy to motivate someone! Thank you. :)

First of all, 8 pounds in 20 days is terrific! Be proud of that number. And secondly, IMO, you should be eating a minimum of 1200 calories per day. Maybe even more. When I started on MFP about a year and a half ago, I weighed 249 lbs and lost over 2 pounds per week with a calorie goal of about 1800. Now, I weigh 153 and am…

I am not sure how to log it in MFP, but I once read that breastfeeding burns on average 40 calories per ounce you produce! Hope that helps.
