I have been heavy my whole life as well. At one point I was at 495. I'm now down to 285 and my goal is 215. I see myself there within the next year.

My fiance is losing wieght as well. She loves that I'm dropping wieght and getting healthy. Plus the sex has become long and rough. Lol. It's amazing

Watch your macros and be honest. I have a trainer and he has taught me this. Wieght didn't happen over night so it won't be gone over night. It takes will power to over cone our bad habbits. I too would get discouraged do to slow wieght lose. But that's before I realized it's a marathon not a sprint.

My personal trainer has me at 255g a day. I'm dropping wieght and building muscle quick. I just started a little over a month and a half ago. Started at 355 and now down to 297

I started using a trainer 1 month ago and I am down 20 lbs but my muscle build I'd starting to show already. He showed me how to watch my macros and so for so good. I have him for 6 months. I'll let you know when it's over. HD has already got my forum to z science. Loving it
