My trainer has intensified my work out. I did legs two days ago and now the back of my legs are so sore it hurts to walk. My protein intake is 235g a day and my fiber is sitting around 60. What else can I do to help not be as sore???? Please share some knowledge.

Soak in an epsom salts bath and make it fairly hot. Also take magnesium and potassium supplements. This makes a big difference for many ppl. It really saves me!0

Being sore is ok - try warm baths and light cardio - my daughter is a gymnast and using the elliptical for 20 mins at a light pace really helps her.
Hydrate and rest.
If it is worse after 24 hours you should tell your trainer that you need to back down the intensity.

Thank You. I'm firing up the hot tub now. Then I'm going to take a walk.0

Do you do stretches before and after your workout? That could save you pain later too.
I agree with hot soaks, rest, hydrating, and walking.
Gentle soothing stretches now. If you get tired of the heating pads switch to ice. My doctor says use whichever feels better.0 -
Duh - I forgot stretching...that is key....both before and after!

Foam roller helps, too, in addition to the above. Lacking a foam roller (which is easy to find/buy), you can do some good with a tennis ball, rolling pin, or somesuch. But a roller is better for the big muscles.0

I stretch before, during, and after. I'll try to stretch now to see if it helps. You guys rock. I enjoy this app0

stetch, foam roll, move, walk, massage, anythign to get the blood flowing to those areas to repair them
I have a random orbital car polisher that i use to massage my legs when they are sore, best muscle massaging thing ever.

I love being sore. It's the feeling of progress!
But, I have found that it gets better when I move. Ride a bike, walk while swinging my arms some, stretching ect. Seems to kinda work it's way out.0 -
Just keep working out - I find it helps to keep those muscles working. I am so happy my old trainer is back - looking forward to being soooo freaking sore tomorrow! The trainer we had while he was gone was too easy.0

I use a tennis ball as a massager. I started using it to massage my feet from wearing heels, but it works great for other sore muscles. Put the ball between your back and the wall for back pain, or roll it up and down your legs for leg pain. I also agree with the epsom salt bath and stretching/walking. The worst thing you can do is stop moving!0

Sauna stretching. I love doing that when I'm sore.0
