  • There's no such thing as spot-loss for fat. You have to reduce overall body fat in order to lose belly fat, and thus, cardio plays an important role -- but not as important as diet. So, be vigilant about counting your calories, underestimate how many calories you're burning, and work hard. It'll eventually come off.
  • Three weeks is also a small sample size. The other factor here is that, despite what most people will say, calorie counting (and ESPECIALLY exercise calorie counting) is an inexact science.   • You'll plateau once it becomes easy. Also, if your goal is to maintain, what is plateauing for you exactly? I wouldn't worry about it too much if your goal is to stay the same. You just have to play around with the formulas and make sure you stay roughly the same.
