There is no option for putting in my weight. My settings should already be taking my weight into account when it calculates calories, right?
-
I don't know about that... I work out using BodyShred... Do I want to use BodyShred for the rest of my life? Probably not... But it is doing my body a world of good as far as my fitness level and muscle toning... And I will take the concepts into the rest of my life going forward... If someone used 21 day fix as a stepping…

Just go to bed.

Go ahead and eat 600 more calories a day (since you're burning them sleeping) and see if you lose any weight... You'll find that MFP does account for your normal activity and bodily functions...
-
Is it really that hard to NOT pick at people who haven't even asked for your opinion of their weight loss plan? Seems to me that he IS following the recommendations set out by MFP. Smh...

Really @dredemeg?? I'm 5'7" and my goal is 155! I wonder how skinny I'll look at that weight :-/

Meat and animal products are not harmful to our bodies... So strange how people will buy into this stuff so easily. If you're going to eat vegan because that's your moral choice, go ahead. But don't make such ridiculous claims that have absolutely no valid scientific data to back them up.

My rule of thumb is 80% calories from healthy, nutrient dense food and 20% calories for a treat *if* I feel like having a treat...

I eat typically 1200-1300 per day... I weigh pretty much all my food, and I wouldn't say I'm "full." But I'm not hungry. My typical day- Breakfast: English muffin w/ a tsp of butter, scrambled egg plus 2 whites with a huge handful of baby spinach mixed in, 2 slices bacon and/or 1/2 cup of mixed berries Lunch: 1.5 oz…

You have lost an average of 1.5 lbs per week. That's great weight loss! Keep it up!
-
No. No, no, and... NO. To 100% of this idiotic comment...
-
@alehanBRO I'd say if you continue to lose so quickly in the next couple of weeks, you may want to start eating some of those exercise calories back so you don't start losing lean muscle mass and start feeling run down...
-
May be water weight, but a big loss in the beginning doesn't necessarily mean he's doing something "wrong." In my experience, it's common to have a big loss in the beginning of a big change in diet, and then the weight loss usually slows down to a normal rate. I also don't eat back exercise calories, and am getting plenty…

If you've lost twelve pounds in the last month and a half you are NOT in a plateau. Plateaus last a long time, and don't happen until a person has lost a considerable amount of weight... You won't lose weight steadily necessarily. I have weeks where I don't lose, then I'll have a small loss, then no loss, then a week with…

Why do you think you need to eat after walking if you're not hungry? I would recommend eating only if you're hungry.

I got that message on Monday... My birthday party was on Sunday, and I went way over so I made up for some of it on Monday and it yelled at me lol...

I am also a mother of 6, ranging in age from 11 down to 21 months. I have managed to drop 46 lbs in the last 5 months by eating healthy foods at a caloric deficit (I usually eat between 1200-1300 calories per day). If the crappy food you purchase for your children is inhibiting your progress, STOP BUYING IT AND BRINGING IT…

So you did change your eating and exercise or you didn't? At first you said you gained weight because of drinking and eating out during college but then you said you didn't change anything and your body magically gained the weight... I agree that an herbalife coach isn't in any way qualified to measure your metabolic…

So funny, I almost feel like I could have written this- I've also lost 46 lbs, and been married almost 13 years... Until recently I never would tell him my weight, but as he has been cheering me on I've let go of that shame... Especially when I made it to "Onederland-" I HAD to tell him! And he has been nothing but…

I went camping and probably didn't hydrate enough (and was super stressed), and came back and had gained 5 lbs! It took me about 5 days to get rid of it just following my normal plan...
-
Yes! When I see people out there working hard I always want to yell encouragement out my car window, but I know that can be perceived as sarcasm so I usually cheer them on in my head :)
-
It helps to actually read comments before disputing them. She said water retention and muscle repair, which DEFINITELY happens when working out even if you're eating at a deficit.

When I was a teenager I wanted to lose weight... So I decided to go on a "low fat" diet... I limited fat to 10g or less per day, and didn't pay attention to anything else... I definitely lost weight to the tune of about 5 lbs a week, but felt yucky all the time and I ate so much sugar and candy because it was "fat free."…

I do simple swaps... For example, tonight I'm making spaghetti with meat sauce... I add tons of tiny diced veggies to the sauce (bell peppers, onions, garlic, mushrooms, zucchini...) and boil spaghetti noodles for everyone else, but I roast a half a spaghetti squash for me... Last night we had grilled chicken with sautéed…

Thanks everyone! I'll pay attention to the weight on the scale when we check out :)
-
Yes it's by weight... It's a small company though so I'm doubtful they offer nutrition info and they don't have a website... I'll ask though...
-
Starving yourself is not the answer to your weight problem.
-
I had naked pita chips, and a mix of organic "wholly guacamole," rotisserie chicken breast, and a hard boiled egg... With a cup of strawberries on the side... So yummy :)
-
Thank you! I was confused by this too... It was easy if I was making a pizza or pan of brownies that I can cut into equal pieces, but something not as easy to "measure" I couldn't figure out... Weigh it! Duh...

I disagree. I have been in a calorie deficit for the last 5 months (lost 46 lbs) and have been doing HIIT training... I have very obviously built muscle and lost fat.
