  • Apologies to everyone for my disappearance and the sub-par challenges. If I'm honest I am working on a really good one rn which just isn't ready yet and well...I'm out of the game atm! I'm sure it wont take long for my head to be back in the right mindset though!
  • I only just noticed OP has only been here for one day... Possibly: Maybe OP has posted this as a joke
  • Dairy Milk Pebbles: The Ultimate Weight loss secret is to eat them in twos xD
  • I think OP meant these? They're like bad smarties
  • If you were a mathemagician you'd manage maybe
  • Also the bag was the body, the pebbles were the food/calories/fat. And you've failed to point out during this analogy the harmful effect of taking too many 'pebbles' out at once - that starvation causes your body to break down muscles and also how important it is to exercise to preserve muscles... There are so many more…
  • Definitely been drinking more water, but I tend not to log it unless I'm sat online while I drink it. My planks are getting easier too... Can't believe I had a little muffin top last month! Well I can... What I can't believe is that it's gone - I keep staring at my belly in the mirror with disbelief
  • Cross between not fitting my jeans/having a muffin top/being officially "overweight"... Plus I was photographed sharing an entire tub of Ben and Jerries with my 1 year old niece - it's a cute photo, but all I see when I look at it is me passing bad habits down so it's very motivating. Thyroid problems run in our family so…
  • Hey! A month ago I was in the same boat as you - now I'm 8lbs down... In short explanation this diet is the only diet that cannot fail if you do what needs done! CI<CO is the basis of almost all diets! Have you tried water aerobics/swimming? It may be easier on your hip! Also, consider making you and your hubby some…

  • I'm Angela, I've been here 36 days - lost 8lbs and have about 12 to go, but I will be sticking around long after that to increase muscle and am happy to help with motivation/info if I can! :relaxed: My main goal is to become more physically strong and improve stamina :D
  • I don't monitor either - but I've definitely been drinking more than double what I used to! My planks are horrendous and I do two of them 100 seconds today, as usually during the first one I crack and lose my frame! On another note however, my belly is reaping rewards as today I managed to do the hundred all in one…
  • Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen... He's definitely more 'young lindsay lohan' than he is The Rock, which he used to constantly compare himself to...
  • @SecretGift I've lost about 7lbs in the last month, starting with a goal loss of only 20lb... It's not really a good thing to be losing weight that fast and I certainly didn't/wouldn't do it on purpose! As far as I know you're more likely to gain it back if you lose it fast. I thought I was at a 500 deficit eating my burns…
  • OP definitely needs more than 1600 calories if the focus is replacing body fat with muscle. My tdee at sedentary is just over 1650 and I'm a 4'9, 124lb woman...
  • I t'ought I taw a
  • Here's a start OP: swap fat free greek yoghurt to normal and add cheese back in? And drink some fruit juice? If you wanna get crazy rub some bacon on it ;) ..then eat that bacon! I'm not sure why this is so hard?
  • @maphammonds I definitely don't usually as I hate the trouble of how teensy my bladder is, but drinking more has definitely made my skin clear up in the last couple weeks! I figured some others may need the same kick up the butt I got from mfp users!
  • When was the last time you lost weight? If you keep doing what you're doing it will pass
  • You're fine, you're also losing exactly as fast as you should be so I suggest eating back some exercise kcal, but otherwise you're great!
  • Height, weight, age? I'm pretty sure eating 50% exercise calories is suggested - I stay at my 500 deficit, eating my exercise calories back and I'm losing quite quickly/toning too so don't worry about eating them! Edit, have just looked through your diary and you have lost 9lb in 9 weeks. I'm not sure what seems slow about…
  • I'd just make sure you eat half your exercise calories back! As you progress I'd suggest increasing exercise by walking outdoors more and other stuff too :)
  • Cod. I definitely find meal of 1 cup peas, 2 cups neeps and 5 fish fingers and 20ml ketchup very easy, filling and tasty!
  • I wont take offence but I was the one suggesting half and I'm definitely not a gent, nor is @rabbitjb as far as I'm aware! I'm glad to say I've never been called that in person at least, had a good laugh at that!
  • Fitness Blender have some "1000 Calorie Workouts" on youtube that you could try, I'm pretty small and estimate my burn about 550-600 calories doing everything with full effort, but I may be underestimating because I've lost at about 1.5-2lb/week rate since starting these 2-3 times a week. They are very doable, but take…
  • It's suggested that you eat 1/2 of the calories you 'earn' through exercise - I personally edit the 'calories burned' part by typing where it says How Long?: ___ how much I did, then changing the next box Calories Burned: ___ to half of whatever it estimates. I'd change the calories to 141 and then in my food diary I can…
  • My oreo incident was not particularly minor
  • So this week was... that week and I ended up giving in on the will power thing - not so much as I stare at the indulgent foods than just concluding that this is not a week to mess with my eating routine! But I've been doing a lot of my workouts in the morning - 100's have definitely made a difference though my cat did sit…
