Counting Calories

Hi Guys,

This is day 2 counting calories and weighing Everything before I consume it, something which I've never done before and to be honest find it a pain. But will give it a try. I've done various weight loss programs over the years, joined various clubs and had some success but the weight has crept back on. I think my most successful program was the Dr. Dukan diet counting carbs and not calories. My weakness is weekends, hubby comes home and any regime I have goes out of the window until Monday. Because of a bodge job hip replacement 8yrs ago I find it very difficult to cycle or get down on my rowing machine and I loved rowing & I can't walk very far or very quickly. I also loose motivation after a few weeks but hopefully I will get encouraged by reading your success stories.

This is my first time counting calories too, and I'm on my third day. It is a pain, but I like being able to see right up front what I can and cannot eat. I don't know if it's still cheating, but I work hard to make sure I keep at least enough calories to sneak a little orange and cream sherbert at night with a few calories to spare. Just working towards that makes the whole counting worth it. Good Luck Lucy.

Hey! A month ago I was in the same boat as you - now I'm 8lbs down... In short explanation this diet is the only diet that cannot fail if you do what needs done! CI<CO is the basis of almost all diets!

Have you tried water aerobics/swimming? It may be easier on your hip! Also, consider making you and your hubby some special but healthier alternatives for the weekend or at least be sure to log everything you eat f you do go over - when you do you will come to learn more about portion control and therefore you are more aware of how to eat once you have finished :)

    Hope this helps!
