I haven't felt this old in a long time :/

It's all fun and games until someone swipes left. Or is it right? Where am I?

Oh wow... What if Tony Stark took a break from being Iron Man and just 'let himself go' for a while. Then...when the hour grows dark and the world needs a hero, he returns... Would he be crushed to death by the Iron Man suit?

Looks like you've got a lot of support on here! 1200 a day is definitely possible, and you can discover all sorts of foods that are good but don't 'cost' as much in calories. I wish you all the best.

Hold on... Are you saying that instead of trying to eat better and exercise, I could have just browbeaten women into thinking I was attractive at 290 pounds?

I'm really digging the poetic form of that response.

It's not my fault that every site becomes a dating site when I sign up. Must be 'cause I'm so pretty ;)

Not bad! Keep up the good work!

I think we've all seen the people who are going to 'get in shape' and they've got the new gym membership and the new FitBit and the new exercise clothes and the sporty new shoes...but they haven't bothered to change their diet. They work out for a few weeks and don't see the scale drop---because they've still not created a…

Do you realize why you made a public post here? Because getting this under control is important to you. You'll get it.

Don't get discouraged! Sometimes you've got to look more closely and make adjustments. Malibu927 said it and I have to agree...it really really helps when you monitor your calorie intake honestly and regularly. Last year I got stuck at a weight. How??? I'm only eating xXxX calories a day! Then I looked closer and…

That's a fact!

And, sorry for my lack of proofreading :/

I'm glad you're here! Let me tell you, this app/website has really been an enormous help to me. Last year I lost close to 90 pounds and people constantly ask me how I did it...and I always tell them about MyFitnessPal. The concept to losing fat is simple---eat fewer calories than your body burns in a day. It's called a…

If you feel fine and it's working for you, then what's the issue???

I know exactly what you're saying about having a few drinks and throwing your daily limits out the window! "I don't care, I've got to have a burger!" What I've found is that if I stay below a certain limit, it's easier to stay focused on the daily goals. But I'm very strict with myself. "Ok. That's X ounces of whiskey.…

The commenters have found you guilty of dieting wrong.

That's good. It's ok to experiment. Just pay attention to your body.

I'm single and live alone. Yet, when I cook I make enough for forty two people. Seriously, I made a pot of chicken and rice Thursday night that's still half used in the fridge. Where did I stash all my single-serve Tupperware?!?

I was, too. That's why I've not been terribly worried about her staying on it very long---it's not very pleasant. However, I was on non-solid food for over a month and that wasn't bad. In December and January I was NPO for 11 days. THAT SUCKED lol

I advise trying different things. If you're fired up about giving your solid-free diet a go, then try it out. Take note of how your body responds, especially how you feel. If you start feeling like crud it might be time to adjust. You'll probably have a good idea what's what by Sunday.

To eleesJourney, I'm glad you're here and feeling great and I'm really glad to see you so excited about your diet. As you move forward, make sure to pay attention to your body, learn all you can about what you're doing, and be honest with yourself. Sometimes our plans don't work like we thought they would. That's all…

One or two

To show my solidarity with the OP, I'm going to indulge in a liquid diet as soon as I get home.

Do it and see what happens!

I found a calorie calculator and, unless you are fairly short and small, 1660 looks more like a Basal Metabolic Rate. (BMR for a man, mid-30s, 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighing 170 pounds is 1677, according to the one I found.) As cwolfman13 said, BMR would be the calories you'd burn if you were in a coma.

I've had lunch today. That's it. My lunch was 519 calories but almost 2200 mg of sodium.

Nice! That's quite the transformation!

I use them all the time. You can also make Kool-Aid with artificial sweetener.

You can do it! This website is a good place to be. There's a lot of information to read and there are a lot of people to help support you. Good luck!
