I am 5'4 started at 150 and am currently at 130 my initial goal is 120 but once I'm there I was going to revaluate and see if I should drop a few more lbs or start maintenance.

I can eat between 1600-2000 and still lose weight. I'd suggest only eating back 50% of your exercise calories because they are inflated on mfp.

I don't eat all of my calories back, but I do eat some. I think my Fitbit gives me too many calories to eat back.

If you like soups that's a great option for chinese, very low in calories and it fills me up. Last time my boyfriend surprised me with chinese I had wonton soup with steamed veggies and chicken and had no problem fitting it into my allowed calories. We have almost the same stats! I am 5'4 currently at 135-138 and trying to get back to 120, I also found 1200 to be too low on most days. A few good tips are to put your fork down between each bite, and to not eat when you are distracted watching TV so you can enjoy and focus on the food you are eating.

Since you are on a budget I would suggest making your meals based on what's on sale at your local grocery store. I also spend $50 for two, and I will buy chicken and other lean meats when they are on sale and freeze so I have them ready. Also meal prepping your lunches in advance has helped me quite a bit! To find out what your maintenance is you can always change your goals to see what your maintenance calories are and then change them back. I would trust the system and see how you progress over 2-3 weeks. How much are you trying to lose? A setting of 2lbs a week might be too high, try 1lb a week? Especially if you have…
