Thanks, this is insightful! Hadn’t thought about it, but it is a bit uncomfortable how I feel warmer because I’ve started exercising again. I hate the idea of a cold shower but will definitely try it regardless. I have tried with the open windows, will keep doing that.

I have. I've lost the first 8 out of 14 kilos (1.2 stones / 18 pounds out of 2.2 stones / 30 pounds) in about 3 months. I've just got my BMI back under 25! My BMI is 27 and I had problems too. I choose to do the first weeks twice, for example, week 1, then week 1 again, then week 2, then week 2 again. You get the picture.
