  • So sorry to butt in or be rude (i have no advice here) but I have a similar condition and very similar meds. Can I ask why low protein? It never occurred to me to ask my consultant about my diet as diagnosis is fairly new to me. (I might ask my gastro consult next week at clinic, now I think about it I should have asked…
  • What a total **#£^$^÷*#*$/&#*^! Just going through his Facebook made me cringe. This woman is so strong for coming out and replying as she did and a true inspiration in being proud of your achievements and not letting anyone get you down with hurtful body shaming. (Also 150 down is awesome!)
  • Personally I'd just get it altered. I'm not 100% but the difference between a uk 10 and a 8 is almost certainly NOT 15lbs. You could probably fit into it better if you dropped only 5-7lbs? if you can get into it now you can't be far off? I'm roughly your weight and swing between a uk 6-8 in trousers/skirts at 5'5 (I seem…
  • It won't really effect your weight loss when you eat just find what works for you best. Some people like two or three big meals and feel more satisfied that way whereas some people prefer 5 or 6 smaller meals and snacks. It's a personal preference more than anything. Try out eating at different times and see what feels…
  • Okay tbh I skipped over some of the mathy bits and lists but I agree with the gist of this post. Too many healthy weight people on here are expecting to lose 2lbs per week when it's just too hard to achieve without taking drastic and unhealthy measures. Slow and steady is both healthier and easier if you don't have much…
  • 5'5 2004 44dd 220ishlbs 2009 deflated 32b/34a 125ishlbs (Mums a bra fitter so stats should be correct sizes) (2014 (profile pic) 32e/f but that's not weight related.)
  • Not too sure what a respectable length of time to hold these would be but the next stage would be negative pull ups (or at least it was in my program.) Starting at the top and slowly lowering yourself over 5 seconds to dead hang. Then taking 10 seconds to lower yourself once you've got that.
  • I seriously doubt it will have an impact on your weightloss but I like to drink it Half a lemon juiced, 1 teaspoon of honey, one tea strainer of lemongrass tea. all heated up in a pan for 6mins with the other half the lemon floating around in the pan. Remove lemon and tea strainer and tastes great.
  • I'm not far off your stats a little heavier i think and have been losing the last couple weeks on 1800ish (I'm a tdee girl) down from 2200 maintance. That being said I am pretty active. It's hard to lose fat as you get nearer your goals without setting your cals ridiculously low and that just opens up a whole world of new…
  • You bought a whole wardrobe of clothes that don't fit? I didn't buy any new clothes but I do have that pair of skinny jeans that did once fit still in my cupboard. I'm back to that waist size but can't cram my thighs into them anymore. Not a good idea, I should give them away, they depress me when I find them for some…
  • Just drink it if you like it coffee won't harm your weight loss. Just out of pure curiosity (because little short of death will part me from my coffee) what is so bad about coffee and/or coffee mate?
  • Yes, I maintained about 12 lbs from my original goal weight, it has really helped me mentaly. Stopping losing gave me the time to reevaluate my goals and focus on my health fitness goals for a while instead of my weight. Tbh my goals changed massively once I switched to maintance and got out of the losing frame of mind.…
  • More of a snack than a meal... My home made post lifting snack/granola bar, I'm off work for a couple of months and bored out my mind so my food is getting weirdly shaped.
  • Yum Donner kebab.
  • Tuna crunch salad with some incredibly bitter tasting onion diced up in it. Really wish I hadn't diced that onion so small
  • Same issue here. I thought I had canceled it 2 months later.... money gone from my account again! Wasn't overly impressed with the quality either for the price.
  • 6am, 11 am, 5pm, Little snacks or mini meals 200ish calories. 1pm and 8pmish meals of roughly 400-500 calories 10.30pm Last snack (hot chocolate and whipped cream and mini Marshmellows. Everytime.) I'm a constantly slightly peckish person so little and often works better for me. I did try 3 meals a day but I just gravitate…
  • I get the same problem especially when I'm on a deficit. The way I avoid obsessing the last few years is I get up in the morning, get out the food I want to eat, measure out my milk for the day etc, pre log it all in my app. Don't look at the app i log on again until just before bed when I add in any extras or take off…
  • Love the tire analogy! Sums up what some people do 100%
  • 5'6 hourglass body shape I guess? Current weight 136lbs Goal weight 127lbs (not too sure on this as I'm going for a more "if it jiggles" aproach to goal weight.)
  • Congrats on the 50lb loss!! I'm sure you'll get to whatever goals you set yourself!
  • False Got on a bicycle
  • (Think I posted this earlier on a post about don't freak if your feeling fat and bloated, thought I'd experiment.) 11lbs up today from Monday! Had a huge epic meal last night and I get some pretty bad pms (pcos) bloat. Salt + post epic munchies night + pms = 11lbs. Eh, generally over the next 48 hours ill likely drop 12…
  • Not if you do your research and take care of your health! The health issues are often from poor after care or doing stupid things, poor research, people trying to cut corners, using dodgy surgeons and going against recommendations. There is always the exception where it goes wrong despite all precautions but it's a very…
  • Yep they really do get in the way! Gotta love em though! Mine did to, sucks so bought new ones. Lol
  • Personally I've not tried it though I love herbal teas. I did read a box though while perusing in Holland and Barrett.... It has senna in it!!!! It's a really expensive laxative, i would guess like all teatoxes it will make you lose a couple of lbs water weight for 20 quid a box. Could just buy a nice filling tea that…
  • I lift too. I don't know any woman in my area that lift either, kind of lonely. Mostly lift at home now aside from the odd form check. Got a home weights room, currently on stage 5 of nrolfw. Loads of ladies that lift on here, pretty much why I joined mfp, my goals are more leaning towards lifting than weight management…
  • I get asked this by my family so i say Do what you would tell a small child to do if they asked how to be healthy - eat sensibly, eat a variety, exercise.
