I assume, like entering the weight/serving/volume of food the way we do now, you would select the food, then weigh it, click a button and that weight would populate the serving size. Then you would check done, or at least that's how the Renpho app works.

I'm going to try this. Since eating does make the headaches better, I wonder if I can do a tiny carb shot and get better. Fingers crossed!

@mjbnj0001 how comfortable are your bike shoes for walking? I bike to work 16 miles round trip and then walk about 3-4 miles while at work. I used to wear a trail running shoe that worked fine for both, but the model is discontinued.

Hello all, I used to post lots of meals on this thread, but lately I shifted over to Instagram because it's easier than posting on here. Take a look if you like: https://www.instagram.com/shameless_foodz/

As someone with a lifetime struggle with major depression, the very phrase "dopamine fasting" sounds ill-intended and sensationalist. First time I heard about it here, so I have reading to do, but I feel like I am about to read a "woman's magazine". You know the one, "Simplify your life by strictly following these 132 easy…

I am a moderate hiker, around 6-15 mile trips and nothing that requires equipment or scrambling. Most of the people I hike with wear boots (especially for backpacking) and some use trekking poles or sticks. For some reason, I just can't wear shoes over my ankles. That means none of those cute bootie boots that have been in…

OMG, now I have to get more yogurt to try this custard, that sounds good! I made a curry sauce and mixed in crumbled tempeh, red onion. It was really good. I made a lime garlic yogurt chicken marinade, and it was so-so. I think the issue was I grilled the chicken before it thawed fully. Whoops. I made some banana cocoa…

patriotic pancakes for the 4th of July (for my love of Americans, not America) leftover chicken roast blended into a soup with bacon bits on top, because why not? It's July and pouring down rain, I want more comfort food. And fruit salad, because it still is summer. Green ramen because I can't find my favorite purple…

I’m gonna do all the things!

It’s plain.

@sijomial thank you for your advice. I think I'll go for a ride, wait until I hit a spot where I don't like how I shifted, and just do drills over that same spot until I shift in a way that feels good. I only have the problem where I need to make a subtle change in gearing, so it will probably take several blocks to prep…

"I baked a cake that will make you sick!" ....here is my 'COVID-cake, corona-cake, whatever you'd like to call it. Chocolate with cream cheese and coconut frosting.

@Rogus1 Were you eventually able to shift as smoothly on the double as you could on the triple? Why did you switch to electronic shifting?
-
It's 105 everything except I upgraded the crankset to Ultegra with a stages power meter.

I'm trying to find a right gears to shift at, I don't want to cross chain, lose momentum, or mash and run out of breath. I'm having a hard time transitioning to this new ratio. I'm not nearly as fluid as I used to be. I climb hills pretty well for my pace. Has anybody else changed chain rings like this? Perhaps 6 months…

front and back together- do you hit both shifters at the same time? Does your chain ever fall off?
-
I went to a bike shop, shared my issue with them, and they made adjustments, so it's not that. I'll describe the scenario: Let's say I'm going up a hill that slowly increases in slope. I am in the large front chaining. I'm pedaling along, slowly shifting the rear chain rings. If I gear to the end in the rear and then shift…

So I went to Dry Falls, an amazing geological wonder and there was a food truck there! Nice and sanitary, I couldn't help but order myself a giant breakfast. roasted sweet potato zoodles and roasted kale with sesame oil, thai chilis, cashews forbidden rice and ginger garlic chicken stir-fry biked to coffee and blackberry…

Seeds. I love pumpkin seeds and sunflower seeds on my salad, but they double the calories! So many calories for something that you barely notice.

The book has dozens of pages of citations, but they aren't linked. I'm certain he didn't do research on his own, the book reads like an overview. I thought it would be easier to find someone with knowledge of the claim here than that filter through each of his citations and read the study once I found it (yes, I'm lazy…

I would totally buy that if it existed.

I had a bunch of leftover gravy, so I reached out to the mfp recipe forum and asked for suggestions. From that I got the inspiration to make shepherd's pie. I gave it my own twist; ground turkey, thyme and paprika, sweet potato topping. canned tuna and swiss cheese melted in a whole wheat pita pocket turkey ham, melted…

tunafish, siracha, mayo, ginger, garlic, avocado, cilantro, green onion stuffed inside a pita. This was a flop, the flavor of the whole wheat overpowered the other flavors. I never noticed wheat to be so strong before. This sandwhich turned out much better: miso ginger mixed with Trader Joe's canned chicken, pickled…

Where do you get burdock? I LOVE that stuff!

Comfort food edition: strawberry pancakes leftover chilli for breakfast baked french toast grilled marinated pork chops, steamed zuccs, mash taters and gravy This one took a lot of effort: quick pickled veggies, jalepenos, sauce (mayo, siracha, garlic, ginger), K-rab, cilantro on a lightly toasted french roll:

https://www.connoisseurusveg.com/chickpea-meatballs/ Sure! I used this recipe, but changed the spices and didn't make the sauce. I'm trying to get my bf on board with more vegetarian options, but he doesn't care for spicy food. For the record, he said he didn't like the meal, but he did eat it. I'll probably try it again…

Attended my first-ever "virtual beer festival" a variety of beers were mailed to us. I got to drink the "non-beer" options since I don't actually like beer.
