Good place for workout posters?
I want to cover the walls of my new "home gym" (a room with a mat and a few things) with workout posters. I'd love to have ones that show exercises for medicine balls, body weight, resistance bands, balance balls. Could be yoga poses, stretches, foam rollers, anatomy/physiology diagram, routines for intervals/jump rope,…

smart food scale integration
It looks like it's been a few years since this question was asked, so I'm wondering, do any smart food scales integrate with myfittnesspal? Such as: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0817LMPDX/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=A1WXKQ3NWKC8WT&th=1 or…

Cyclists: who does rim tape?
So I bought a new bike and after a week of riding it into work I got a slow leak. The hole was on the inner part of the tube- facing the hub. First time I ever had a hole in that place, and it matched up with this part of the wheel where the rim tape is off center. Did the bike shop or the bike manufacturer put this tape…

I'm lost...
Hi there everyone! I'm sitting here after eating myself to the point of sickness for the past 2 days while wearing my "fat pants" that somehow also got too tight. I want to get out of this rut, and I figure my brain should focus on one thing, and take it one day at a time. But what do I focus on? I'm staring at all these…

Is it Garmin or is it Wahoo?
I pair my Wahoo Tickr heart rate monitor with my Garmin Fenix 6 to track data when I work out. I've been doing this for a few years now without complaint. Over the past month or so I've been getting way inaccurate readings, like a heart rate of 60 or 185 when it's actually in the 130s (from manual pulse check). I don't…

Calorie deficit headaches
I have just 15 lbs. to lose*. My weight's been stable for a year. Every time I start eating at a deficit, I start getting headaches about 3 weeks in. I wake up with a headache, take Advil which helps, but the headache comes back as soon as the Advil wears off. Eventually the Advil stops working, and I go back to eating at…

FitTrack smart scale? yay or nay?
OK, so this ad appeared on my phone and I'm falling for it. I already have a bioelectrical impedance scale from 2005 but it's not working atm (the battery terminals rusted and I'm procrastinating on cleaning them). That one never really seemed useful for anything but weight. And I'm not really too into weighing…

solo self-supported bikepacking alumni: give me your advice
I'm headed out on a 14-day bikepacking trip on my own. My bike, equipment, food, supplies, route, alternate plans, backups, and details are all planned down to the quarters I'll need for showers. I have one hanging question: What if I get bored and/or lonely? I have audiobooks, ebooks, podcasts, sketchbook, journal, blog.…

Cyclists: What are your best shoes for SPD/flat combo pedals?
My commuter bike is professionally fitted to me perfectly...when wearing shoes with cleats. However, I often ride the flat pedals with street shoes and the difference in height is enough to make my knees hurt. Do shoes exist with soles the right thickness to balance out the difference? Do you recommend any brands?

What should I do with mini-muffin papers?
Someone gifted me a pile of mini-muffin papers. I don't have a mini-muffin tin and don't really care to buy one. I don't want to waste the papers, though. Any suggestions? Does anyone have any ideas of things I can make, maybe they can hold their own in? I do have a silicone egg bite tray for the Instant Pot. Maybe I could…

Alopecia areata or Alopecia areata totalis?
I'm curious is anyone out here is familiar with either? I searched the boards, there was a thread 5 or so years ago, but not much. I'm curious to hear stories about how quickly you or the person you know lost their hair? For myself, I'm trying to guess how much I'll lose. I started losing my hair in September and am losing…

prescription sport sunglasses recommendations?
I want to buy a pair of sunglasses for skiing and biking (high contrast, impact-resistant, air flow for sweat and fog). Adding a prescription in puts me at $700+. Anybody know of any budget options? I've been getting prescription glasses on line for $20, seems like I should be able to find sunglasses for under $200.

"Thin people have more gut microbes than fat people"
"Thin people have more gut microbes than fat people; having hungry microbes may at least partly account for thinness." Says Bill Bryson in the book "The Body". What are your thoughts?

recipe ideas that use yogurt?
So, I got a giant tub of yogurt that's a different brand than my usual and I don't care for the flavor. I'm thinking I could make some muffins or something with it. I looked up a few healthy recipes, and most of them use 1/3 C or less of yogurt. I would be making mountains of muffins to use up my giant tub. I would want to…

Cyclists: how do you shift your compact chainset?
My first road bike came with a triple chainset. For 17 years I easily shifted through any climb or descent without any hitch in cadence. This year I decided I wanted a power meter, and it was more economical to buy a whole new bike. I got the 2020 version of the same bike, and it has a compact chainset. I've been riding it…

A tipping point
I've gained and lost weight 4 times now, and I'm beginning to notice a pattern. I realize I'm at an unhealthy weight, so I try a variety of methods to help me eat less. Usually I don't have success for a few years and then I finally do something that makes the pounds fall off. I maintain the weight I want for several years…

Suggest a bodyweight workout video for me?
I'm looking for a 45-ish minute bodyweight workout video that covers the whole body with a focus on the core. I have about enough floor space to lay flat on the ground, but spreading out like a starfish involves hitting furniture (or the cat!). I'm in pretty good shape for a middle-aged women; can plank for a couple…

Health effects of social media...are they changing in our current states of physical isolation?
Everywhere you turn research warns us of the dangers of social media; it's addictive, it causes depression (people feel more lonely, people compare themselves to what they see, FOMO fear of missing out), it's imbalanced, dishonest, too short, discourages critical thinking, it's lazy, you name it. However, when you look at…

Suggest some main courses
I am all about having all my food groups mixed together for dinner; stir fry, dinner salad, pasta dishes, instant pot and crock-pot dinners. Bike fit: indoors vs. Outdoors
I had a bike fit a few years back and everything about my bike is perfect. I set it up on an indoor bike trainer a few weeks ago and it's totally different. Is this normal? How much do you/should you spend on food (US)?
How much do you spend on food? Do feel like what you spend is reasonable? Do you feel like you are stuck spending more money than other people, or do you feel thrifty and like you get good food for the cost? Adulting limits? Responsibility fatigue?

When it comes to eating right, I often feel…
