  • I kind of wish I had the feel bads after carbs, but I don’t really notice much (except of course the weight gain). I did great on Easter, ham, deviled eggs, and green beans. Then, I was home alone yesterday and ate banana bread
  • Salami and cheese is one of my go to snacks. And I like ham with my eggs. If you read labels, you can definitely find some that are better than others. Every body reacts differently, though, so you have to see if it works for you. I can’t imagine it’s any worse than commercially prepared jerky, though.
  • I am over 40, and I started last year with 80 pounds to lose. I am down 55 so far, with lots of starts and stops along the way. Good luck, this is a great community with lots of knowledge and experience.
  • SW: 222 CW: 165 GW: 142 I'm 5'5. One pound at a time!
  • Also a no breakfast person. For some reason, it's easier for me not to eat if I don't start eating. So, skipping breakfast allows for more calories during the day, and especially at night. I still love breakfast foods, I just don't eat them first thing in the morning. Definitely a matter of personal preference.
  • Please feel free to add me (any of you here:). My diary is open, and I'm always looking for new ideas--mine are a bit boring sometimes.
  • I like to eat cheese with almonds. It gives that salty crunch. Maybe 3 almonds with a slice of cracker cut sharp cheddar makes a nice snack:). I like the new Atkins trail bars (but I limit to one per week, usually four servings from one bar). Quest bars were hugely disappointing to me. I will also occasionally indulge in…
  • Count me in! In honor of National Heart Health Month, I commit to exercising at least 4 days/week. SW:222.5 CW:175.5 GW:142
  • I started in the beginning of February 2015, so about 10 months. I've lost 54 pounds, with another 26 to go. I've stalled for months, especially with summer vacations and a cruise, but I'm just plugging along. No longer obese:). I aim for 60/30/10, at around 1300 calories, though calories fluctuate depending on the day. I…
  • I am often hungry, too, but that may be because I use Intermittent Fasting. I just deal with the hunger, and eat during my time window (usually i do 18:6). I also crave food for other reasons, too, though, and it's still hard to distinguish cravings from hunger. I had such horrible eating patterns for so long, it's no…
  • I like Absolut Ruby Red Vodka and Fresca.
  • 8 months, and about 50 pounds.
  • For my 50 pound loss, I'm celebrating on Saturday with a 90 minute massage. Heavenly!
  • I like those little make ahead quiche muffins for breakfast. Eggs, heavy cream, cheese, and meat. Make ahead on Sunday, microwave in the morning. If you need snacks, hard boiled eggs, string cheese, steak and blue cheese roll up, macadamia nuts, celery with blue cheese dressing.
  • I just have face shots, but I'm feeling good!
  • Mine is open to friends, happy to share!
  • Greek chicken salad, with sautéed chicken breast and feta.
  • Last night, I made some poor food choices:(. This morning, feeling already defeated, I was going to stop for a fast food breakfast. I rationalized that I might as well, since last night knocked me out of ketosis anyway. Instead, I drove past. I will not worry about calories today, but I will get back to LCHF eating. I will…
  • Amazing, that's a lot of hard work. Hope you're planning to do something special for you!!!!
  • Mediterranean chicken salad, with grilled chicken in garlic olive oil with oregano, mixed greens, a couple of grape tomatoes, a little chopped pickled beet, feta cheese and Greek salad dressing. Delicious!!!!
  • Personally, I think it's better to tie rewards/consequences to behaviors, which you can control, rather than the way your body responds to weight loss, which you can't. I don't necessarily think punishment is the most encouraging, but earning that skillet by keeping to your goals sets you up for success, IMO. The numbers…
  • What do you mix the cheesecake pudding mix with? I love and miss cheesecake!!!!
  • I'm with you! In 3 pounds, I will be overweight, and I never thought I'd be so happy to be overweight:). I started at 37.0, now I'm at 30.4. Let's keep pushing!!!
  • Pennsylvania, south east corner, and ready for fall
  • I'm taking Metformin for pre-diabetes, after trying unsuccessfully to lower my A1c without it. I find it helps a bit with appetite, but not much. I am taking 500mg twice a day. I do hope to see better numbers in a couple of months, I've only been taking it about 10 days. No change in weight loss, and some unpleasant…
  • I'm 42, live in Pennsylvania, and have about 40 pounds to lose. When I started, it was 80, and so overwhelming. Now, I'm about half way there, and already feeling so much better! I have had to accept that my body chemistry, family history, and personal history of bad eating mean that I will need to be low carb for the rest…
  • Started 2/9/15. SW:222.5 CW:180.5 GW:142 It really hasn't been that hard. I still do have drinks about twice a month, and a really good dessert (or part of one) about once a month. Other than that, I just skip whatever starch I make with the family dinner. And do salads with protein for lunch. I'm a teacher, though, and I…
  • I have been doing LC since 2/8/15, and have lost 40 pounds so far. Started at 222.5, now 182.5. I have 40 more pounds to go till goal. I have been using MFP since the beginning of April, when I was 202.5. I need the scale, since I look in the mirror and barely see the difference, even though everyone else seems to notice.…
  • I am down 40 pounds today, which is half way to goal. I started the WOE in February, thinking my next step was WLS, if this didn't work. But it is working! I count calories and carbs most days, but only worry about counting carbs on weekends. I'm still learning to only eat when I'm hungry, and to stop when full, which is…
