I just started running again, now that I am down to 225. Got in shape about 15 years ago (then slowly grew!!) mostly from running. I love to run to the beat of music. There are a couple good websites that give you the beats per minute of the songs you like. I load my phone up with a bunch of 140 bpm songs and try to stay…

I have my fitbit and MFP linked. I don't think the "steps" come over, but you get a calorie bump on your daily log from what fitbit captures. But, the only thing that comes over are calories from the automatic step capture. Anything you log manually into fitbut will not come over. So do your logging in MFP.

There are a several decent Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR) calculators on the web. Some allow for more input than others. But, a good one will take your height, weight, age, sex, and general fitness and tell you what your body needs just to exist. Not sure if this helps, but typing is good exercise for my fingers!!

Got my FITBIT fired up about six weeks ago. Linked it up to MFP, and even got a WIFI scale that updates both automatically. Just having the FITBIT has me make little teeny better decisions throughout the day. But man do those little walking choices add up!! I set my goal at 10k, but usually get 15k, and every-so-often can…

I know myself pretty well, and given choices, I will make the wrong one with food!! So, my day is fully planned. I know EXACTLY what I will eat and when i will eat it. I pre-make when I can, but since I travel alot I have certain foods that I know will be available. For example, I know the Subway Turkey and Avacodo is 425…

I make chilled "Swiss Oatmeal". You make it the night before, and its good for 2-3 days. Very filing. Has oatmeal, milk (I use almond milk) apples, bannanas, raisons, and low-fat yogurt. Corner Bakery also sells it for $4.50 a bowl (350 calories). Let me know if you want more, or jsut google "Swiss oatmeal."

I have all my shirts arranged in my closet from a "they fit" side to a "can't fit into these" side. Every day I try on the next shirt in line and wear it to work if it fits. So far have moved 7 shirts to the "fits" side!!! (About 35 left to go!)

Its just oatmeal, low-fat yogart, granny smith apples (diced small) bananas, almond milk (or skim milk) all in equal amounts. Mix with some craisons, and set…
