Don't sweat it! I can "lose/gain" 3-5lbs in a day regardless of my TOM. I just stay focused on the overall trend, which keeps going down. Also, I find that drinking extra water and reducing my sodium intake helps a lot to get back down after a rapid "gain".

I'd use a heart rate monitor to figure out a close-ish estimate of calories burned. For example: I don't trust the "calories burned" according to my elliptical (700+ per hr). Instead I monitor my HR (140-170, ave about 155bpm) and use an online tool to calculate calories burned for the length of time and average HR (~600…

I do cardio for 30-60min 5-6 days a week (ave HR 150ish) before I eat breakfast. No issues so far...

I weigh myself every day right before my morning shower. Just remember that it is normal to go up or down a few pounds between days. If those type of fluctuations will discourage you, you may want to weigh once every week or two... Focus on the overall trend more than the day to day number.

Agreed! There are a lot of tasty flavored vodkas out there (e.g. Skyy Blood Orange, Absolut Apeach, etc. - Yum!) and most bars will have a few to choose from.
