I, myself, was addicted to Diet Coke/pepsi. I loved the fact of how it felt me full during my 9-5 job and curbed my 2:30 afternoon slump.. and I was drinking this stuff almost every day.. until I started getting dizzy feeling, like my head was very heavy and could tip back.. like vertigo, at random times, even if I just…

Right.. very helpful.. thanks for the reply.

5 pounds less than I am now? will make a big difference, as I am 5 foot 2 with a small frame.
-
No reason to respond in a rude and condescending tone. I just asked a question. Thanks for the replies.

Yeah, that's the tricky part that I was trying to figure out... I guess I would have to spend a lot longer time running than 5 miles in order to loose any weight, as I am not over weight.
-
Yes, to the point of it looking ridiculous, Sometimes I'll eat 900. I am 5'2, 115 lbs, so no, I know I am not over weight, but I would like to reduce my body fat and get to 110 lbs. If that is at all possible, maybe not.

I eat healthily. I cut out all complex carbs (no white carbs) sugar, and saturated fats. Since I lead a busy lifestyle, I sometimes don't even get in 1200 calories daily.

From Westchester county! I'm a week or so new as well. Welcome. :)

Me!! I've been running now for 2 1/2 months.. My body I think is finally starting to get used to it. In the beginning my hips would be constantly sore, as well as shin splints and a sort of "tightness" feeling in my calves.. I learned that proper running can prevent all of these issues, as with the right running sneaker. I…

Let me know if you ever do find a way to spot reduce.. These pesky hips LOVE holding onto fat!!!! >:)

On top of me? Irish?

Also, thanks! But the last thing I want to do is gain back any weight in my lower body, so gaining weight would be out of the question, I just like a leaner look. I'm 5 foot 2 as well, with short limbs, so anything over 120 pounds, *on me* doesn't look "fit."

I would like to loose more fat in my bottom half, as genetically for me, that is where most of it goes.. (thighs and HIPS!) :( You can't really tell too much as my profile photo is of my upper body, so that is where I would like to burn more of the extra fat and lean out my legs more, not bulk them, I don't know, maybe it…
-
Yes, It is super hard for me to gain any type of muscle, especially my upper body. I think I should of used the statement, "loose extra body fat" instead of "lean out." Muscle definition is important to me and one of my goals, but more so it is the extra body fat I have in certain areas.

I just read this article, thanks. I have always wondered if my metabolism was damaged and that is why my weight won't budge. I have recently went to the doctors for a check up and was told I may have chronic (adrenal) fatigue syndrome. Not sure if that has anything to do with my issue possibly.

I used to weigh 125 pounds about a year ago, started taking care of myself, then dropped to 115 lb, and it has stayed at 115 lbs. pretty much since I have started doing cardio and eating more healthily. I will eat 1200 calories a day, since going any lower is not very healthy as I have heard, over the long term, sometimes…

I am 5'2, very petite frame, bone wise, and currently 115 lbs, but my goal is 110. I workout daily, but I also sit in an office for 8 hours out of the day. My body has definitely hit a plateu.. so that really the main issue for me, these last 5 pounds are very tough. I have it set up where I would be loosing half a pound…

I used to so super hard on myself.. then I went through a time period where I would really restrict myself... Like for instance, last night, I had a class, which conveniently is also in the same complex as a shopping center, I was so hungry, had a really light lunch and I gave in and got myself a nice, fat grilled cheese…

^ Just started to ignore my nightly carb-sugar cravings... waiting 30 minutes felt like tortue.. I felt like a drug addict withdrawing.. but very true.. after 30 minutes, I averted my attaention elsewhere & it passed!

I'm new here! I'd love to make some friends and give/receive support. :)

You sound just like me.. I am trying to loose just 5 pounds, (115 but I want to LOWER by bf % and get to 110 lbs.) May sound like you body is at a plateu? In order to lose those last few pounds, You have to create a deficent between cals consumed and cals burned. I'm at a loss since I've cut out pretty much all the complex…

The smith machine has become my best friend on leg/glute training days. Over the past 6 months, I starting squating (smith machine is my favorite, but I'll also try body weight squats, sometimes throw in 10-15 lb dumbbells with it, held on each side.) Also, if you gym, which most gyms do have, is the kick back machine!…

I believe it works most accurately when running, just my personal opinion. Other cardio exersises, I'd be wary about the calorie burn from fitbit. I have the charge HR.

Depends on what your individual goals are.. If you are trying to loose a certain amount of weight (especially a large amount) in a shorter time frame, then your goal would be to hit the gym 6-7 days a week. If you are just maintaining and happy where you are at, then you don't need to. If you have other things going on in…

Such an old post but might as well chime in... I'm Currently 115 but I would love to get myself down 5 more lbs (for the summer especially) and lower my bf % as well, My goal is 110 lbs. I am 5'3, I'm small framed, I think 110 pounds on 5'2 is not too thin.. although I would think anything under 110 for 5'3 would start to…
