I don't so much now if I'm putting on muscle I guess!

I think you are referring to my Husband? Ususally, himself. And he/we actually never wrote on the board much, but our new gym does Wodify and they're really into tracking your weight progression. I think it made him feel like he had to measure his WOD. So you can imagine that when he busted balls the first day on a WOD at…

I will just comment on coffee, as I am a coffee addict. I have a cup or two before the gym/crossfit with a dash of unsweetened cashew milk or flax milk and stevia, about 8-10calories (only 25 cals in a cup of both types of milk and a ton of protein in the flax). If I want a latte at Starbucks, I get a venti or grande iced…

I second Vega One. I have an immune allergy to dairy and any dairy (cows milk) byproduct such whey, casein, etc. I like Vega One as it is plant based, has tons of nutrients, fiber and vitamins (50% of our daily req), is low calorie and holds 15g protein. For an after workout, try their sport performance, low cal, 25g of…

I'm with everyone here... Just like you make time for all of the things you have listed, your health is ultimately what determines your longevity on this planet. Perhaps, get up earlier and get in a workout (we get up at 4:30am to hit the gym...it doesn't have to be then, but maybe an extra hour), get a salad at Panera,…

No. A deficit is a deficit. I purposely do not eat back my exercise calories. It's the whole premise of CICO calories in calories out. MFP is a statistical calculation based on the metrics you provide. Only your body can tell you what is really working or not, and you can adjust the macros. For instance, I lift weights and…

Vega One, Spirutein, or Puritans Pride all make protein powders. vega is the most balanced with the most nutrients and is completely plant based. Puritans pride is the lowest calorie and the cheapest. I'd check whole foods (believe it or not they have them the cheapest and on sale often).

I do protein shakes in the morning and night mixed with kale, berries, cashew milk and whatever else you want. Premier protein has 25G of protein and only 160calories, so it packs a nice punch. I also take supplements, rainbow nutritional complete system. For on the go I bring 100cal packs of almonds, sometimes vega…

When you say healthy as h@@@, what does that consist of? That's a bummer it didn't work! I'm giving a very generalized version of what he ate, but it was all whole foods, mostly plant-based with some lean white meats and fish. So, no refined or processed foods, no dairy, no red meat, low sugar, no oils (people get all…

I just started two-a-days a couple of times a week, and for obvious reasons, number two is generally a little rough. A 3.5mile run in the FL afternoon heat after burpees and thrusters in the morning... I am going to have to either fuel better or start wearing my ankle ID.

So if your problem is cholesterol, I would ask your Dr or dietician what foods to cut out. Cheese alone won't do it. I lowered my husband's in 30 days by 37 points by having him replace red meat with white meat, no egg yolks, and yes, no dairy. If you want to cut your cholesterol fast and drastically, I recommend eating…

If there is one thing you do, go to a running store and get fitted. After not doing this, I ended up at the Sports Med Dr with shooting pains down my leg...and guess what she did, fit me for the right running shoes. Would have been so much cheaper and less painful had I just not run in the wrong shoes in the first place....

I live in FL, we go to the 6am and I go back in the afternoon to work on my goats...it's running at 100 today, no air. Water and I guess you acclimate. We moved down here from NH, so it doesn't come naturally...you just get your body used to it. I run outside in the afternoon as well, just takes some time to get the…

I don't think men think that much about this...but I don't generally worry about what men think...including my husband. My self worth is not based on anyone's opinion but my own. I am losing weight so I can move more quickly during my CF lifts and live along, heart-healthy life. I would hope women could focus on what makes…

I switched from lifting light to lifting heavy and it is going away. The back, top of my thighs, right below my butt has always been the issue for me, but slowly it is getting firmer and the cellulite is less apparent.

I have been slow to add friends, but I'm finding it's helpful for motivation and to keep me on track! Feel free to add me ;)

Yoga. I do crossfit and wanted to improve my mobility, specifically squats as well, now I'm gumbi. I did vinyasa a few times a week, now I do Bikram. You can join a studio or grab some videos...I recommend a studio though, as they will make corrections in your posture/ stance. Also, probably pick up a foam roller and…

I do CrossFit 4/5 a week and am on a calorie restricted diet to lose weight. I keep my energy up with low-calorie high-protein shakes and nutritional supplements...and as everyone has mentioned "clean eating," which for me, means vegetables. I personally like Puritan's Pride Soy Isolate 110cals, 24g protein, no sugar),…

Yes, they have definitely become a conversation piece! But they don't fly in a board room...and it's such a bummer wearing nylons in the summer. Oh well, I am happy that it's not just my inability to be graceful ;) I'm thinking I could make a lot of money if I could come up with some bruise-be-gone serium for CF…

I pee all the time during double-unders, no joke. I haven't had kids yet, and there is no rhyme or reason for it. I wear a liner now so I don't have to worry about it. Also...when I was training for my half marathon I was told people pee while running those all the time, so I had no shame when I did that during the…

I used to workout on my lunch break and shower quickly before going back to the office. I forgot a towel and had to use paper towels to dry off...absolutely miserable....

It is :) We are actually the third home for our cat and we were told that he was not into snuggling...we laugh a lot about that! He's not going anywhere now.

In our bed? You mean their bed, right? We just try to figure out where to sleep so as not to disturb them :-p
