I just started doing push-ups with the vest. 10 sets of 10 with 25#.

Do tell!

Outstanding! :D
-
Glad to hear you're better. :)
-
That is awesome to hear! Thanks for checking back in! :D

Getting a workout in at the end of a long day is always a struggle. If you're anything like me though, once you're actually in VR and moving, the struggle gets easier.

One reason I included the waist measurement in the weekly reports is because it's a much better indicator of fat loss compared to the measurement on the scale. The fact that you lost 1/2 an inch on your waist this week mean's you lost fat. I averaged about 1/2 an inch a week throughout my 7 weeks, and that's a good place…

VR Fitness Insider: 50 Day VR Fitness Challenge

That sounds pretty hardcore, and honestly, I don't think I could handle it with my knees. lol. I would if I weren't already so broken. ;)

Day Two Day Four Day Five Managed to jog 25 minutes today (with my son in tow) before my IT band started to aggravate me (old injury). If not for that, I could have easily jogged an hour at that pace. For me this demonstrates that my VR training translates into more traditional training. Having in the past transitioned…

Wow, great week! Glad the vest is helping!

Whichever one you choose, start light and progress slowly. I started with 2.5# and added 2.5# every other workout for a while, then every third, etc.
-
Epic mode certainly is. The version of Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger they have linked near the top just slays me.

A pricey one, lol: http://www.roguefitness.com/box-weighted-vests-universal-camo It's been really great though. The problem I've always had with weighted vests is that they tend to shift around a lot or sag, but this vest fits very snugly.

#1 You are absolutely slaying your workouts from what I've seen. There is going to be an inevitable levelling off in calorie burns as you become more conditioned, but I don't think you have anything to worry about. #2 I'm very reluctant about using ankle or wrist weights in VR (or in many other types of training for that…

Did some exerviving today, but it was very casual. Didn't wear the HR or time it even. I did however weigh myself this morning for the first time since I finished my first VR Challenge. I'm up .1 lbs. My goal for the week was to maintain my weight, and I was able to do that almost exactly, so I'm pretty happy with that. :)…

Day Two 1 HR: Audioshield Elite, The Thrill of the Fight, Holopoint, Swordmaster VR Burn: 841 kcal
-
Yes. Also in MyFitnessPal is you are using it for daily caloric calculations.
-
I never considered doing that for my own weighted VR workouts, but it makes sense.
-
Awesome!
-
Just now seeing this! Awesome! :D
-
So many updates to all of my favorite VR workout games! TTotF, Bitslap, HoloPoint, and now AudioShield! Can you believe I haven't even gotten to use my headset since I finished my challenge last Sunday?! I'm in serious VR withdraw! lol.
-
What brand weight vest are you using?
-
Sorry to hear that, sounds frustrating. I suggest Sword Master VR.
-
An awesome finish for your first week! :D
-
I'll have to try that.

I just said this in the other thread I think, but our measurements and goals seem very similar. I started at exactly 180.4 and am also 5'8". So if it worked for me (granted I'm only at 166), it will work for you too. :) A heart rate monitor is by no means a necessity, but it is helpful for calculating your daily caloric…

Welcome to the group, Mic. One of the things I like about Thrill of the Fight is that the 'Fight' vs 'Rest' cycles felt really well timed. Whether you knock your opponent down, or you get knocked down, you get a good 15 second (?) break from the action. The way I played it was just cycling through each opponent (including…
