Congratulations, you're right to feel proud!
-
Amazing. Tell us more about what your exercise was up to 100lbs. of loss, before you joined that gym?
-
Hmm, I just noticed that although I selected 'Parsley', it only added it to the recipe as 'Raw'!
-
Thanks! I will check this out

That's great to know thanks

Called my mom today before heading out on a 2 hour hike with a friend & two teens. Sore lower back, now! Completely forgot about new eating habits out at friends after when bowls of tortilla chips and Miss Vickie's potato chips were put out, and I don't know how much I ate but it wasn't a little. Sigh. Later they offered…

I'm actually 49 - not quite 50 - but would like to share the challenges and successes with this group. I weigh just under 170 and would like to get down to 150 as a first step - where I was at most of my life - and then down to 125 and we'll see how that is. I'm 5'2", and live in Vancouver, Canada. I just started with…

Inspired by your weight loss - would like to learn more about how you're doing it!

Hi Mary from Minnesota Is there a way I can save this discussion so I can find it easily? I just happened to search all discussions for 'Vancouver' and it led me to your post in this group that was a response to mine. Otherwise, does everyone search for '50' every time and find it that way, or...? Must be an easier way! I…

Wow you are doubly impressive! And 8 lbs. lost already!

I'm 5'2, just under 170. Vancouver, Canada. 49. I would like to get to 125. My first goal is 150 which is around what I was for most of my life. I got sick for a year and a half around 2011 and got down to 129 (somehow I crept up to over 40 lbs. over that... god...). On my frame friends said this was too skinny but I'd…

Uuuuuug. I did good this morning and ran a 7am one hour cycle (though only one other person showed up :( )... wanted to walk an hour today but couldn't drag my body out for that. Then wanted to try to go to a Meetup depression group, to aim for some support, but went to the long location...oops. And while there, ate a…

Holy moly confusing to me
-
I've read about it quite a bit now here and went to a TDEE calculator and got the 1800ish number, but still find TDEE quite confusing! Maybe my moderate-math-disorder brain.
-
It was defective... I took it back.
-
I got my Charge HR today. I am confused by one thing... I don't understand this? 'Record start times for all cardio exercises: In order for your Fitbit tracker to accurately calculate your calorie burn, you'll need to record a start time for all cardio exercises you log on MyFitnessPal. If you use a MyFitnessPal mobile…

Sorry, I put this in the wrong forum and can't figure out how to delete it.

In absence of real fruit, maybe Crystal Light?
-
PS TeaBea in your profile, just curious what does 'Recently started 5:2' mean?
-
Thanks for that chart. I also found an online body fat percentage calculator so by using that and the Katch-McCardle TDEE calculator, that one says TDEE is 1809 calories/day.
-
For Mifflin-St Jeor It says BMR is 1512 (what is that? I can't find it explained?) and TDEE is 2050 I couldn't use Katch-McCardle because I don't know my body fat %. I'm 49 and 5' 2".
-
My exercise isn't very consistent daily but I'll have a look at the TDEE again
-
Thanks. What device do you use to me monitor how many miles you're walking, and are you happy with the device you chose?
-
That's impressive - what do you do for your 2 workouts per day, and do you do one super early before work?
-
Thanks that's helpful
-
at first I put in 2 lbs per week but it stays at 1200 calories even if I put in 1 pound per week instead
-
Thanks

Vancouver, Canada here

I'm not too sure how to join onto this group, but I'll try posting... my weigh scale currently says about 167 (but my recollection from the past is that it errs on the light side by quite a bit). I'd like to lose at least 35 lbs. I've been trying food logging for about a week, and am measuring but not yet weighing. I've…
