  • Hey yogis! I've been at it on and off for about 6 years, but started a 5-6 day/week practice 2 years ago. I do a vinyasa flow in 40 degrees (not at home, at a studio :). Yes, even in the summer  I seem to thrive in the heat! I don't know if I've got a favourite. I do love dancer's pose and camel. Also not sure if I…
  • Ok--I'm a dork. I realized I posted here already a couple months ago. ^^You see? It's hard to balance my hectic schedule and memory is the first thing to go! :D
  • Hi ladies, Turned 41 a couple months ago. Trying to balance it all: 3 young kids, full-time job, a lovely hubby, and then the million other things that require my attention daily. Exercise and nutrition is a huge priority for me and I love that MFP keeps me accountable! Have a fantastic day!
  • Home is Toronto <3
  • Amazing weight loss progress so far though! Those last 5 are a beast indeed. I've been trying to loose them for what seems like my whole life haha! Mostly I've made peace with the fact that this weight (and not 5lbs lighter) is where my body wants to be. But it takes effort just to keep it here!
  • I'm 41 in a month, and have always been pretty fit. But I have to say, the almost daily yoga practice I started a couple years ago has me feeling more youthful than I felt in my 20s and 30s!
  • You've described me perfectly! Haha. Food is good. Thank gd I love to exercise! That said, ALWAYS looking for buddies to hold me accountable! :) 41 in a little more than a month!
  • I'm with kaypee65. Bit harsh, guys. Perhaps we can all agree that he just used the wrong choice of wording and let it go? I think anyone that makes an effort to eat mostly vegan (or plant-based or whatever you want to call it) is doing animals and the environment (not to mention their bodies) a HUGE favour. So can we…
  • My "mini" (though it seems to be long-term) goal is to do the splits! I've been working on it for the past year, and am pretty much there on my good side. Now maybe another year for my not-so-good side? Haha!
  • Just under 5'9". GW 146-148 CW 151 I'm naturally quite muscular, with a medium build, so I think somewhere around 147 is perfect for me. Now to get there...

  • Hi Ladies, Just wanted to post an update with my weekend eating plan. During the week I allow myself somewhere around 1200/cal. Weekends I've upped it to 1800 (though I seem to be eating closer to 1600). Happy to report that it's working, and better yet, it feels sustainable. Weight loss is slow--no more than 1lb a week,…

  • Hi ladies, Thanks for your input. I think what I'm going to do is start tracking everything I eat on the weekends, but I'm going to allow myself around 1800 per day (as opposed to my usual 1200). Maybe that way I'll still feel like I can cut loose a little without totally blowing it. We'll see if that gets the scale moving…
  • Do you mean that if you allow yourself, say, 1200 total and burn 500 in exercise you'd only be eating 700 per day? Oh gosh, I hope that's not what I have to do to get this extra 5-10lbs off :/ As I have it right now, I'm already hungry. I eat 1200 total a day, but burn about 700 per day in exercise. Per day, I eat a total…
  • M-F: 30min run, 1 hour power yoga, 20min bike ride (I'm a run/bike commuter) Either Sat or Sun I'll do a 30min run, though sometimes I take the whole weekend off.

  • Well, I'm late to the challenge, but I don't have that much left to lose. Last 5-10 lbs are the hardest, though! MY STARTING WEIGHT: 5/23/16: 153.8 lb 5/30/16: 6/6/16: 6/13/16: 6/20/16: 6/27/16: 7/4/16: 7/11/16: 7/18/16: 7/25/16:
