I lost my first 25 pounds pretty quickly and that was great motivation, however the next 5 pounds took 4 weeks. During that time I suffered with an injury that made working out almost impossible. I gave in to the negative self talk and probably would have quit if not for: 1. I have surrounded myself with folks who are…

Hang in there. Are you drinking the water?

Sounds awesome. My cooking skills are more a beginner level (think an 8 year old) and that's really been holding me back. I have cooked more in the last 6 months than I did in 6 years !

I am 55 and working on becoming fit. Dropped 29 pounds so far. Accountability has been key for me. I have some great MFP buddies who help keep me on the straight and narrow. Logging my food has been a tremendous help for me. Welcome Biccielover!

Nuts are my go to salty snack. I get a 1/4 cup almonds or pistachios and 1/4 cup raisins. Works every time. Chips were my nemesis ; I would eat a family size bag by myself. When I was cutting back I would make it last TWO whole sittings!!!! I would make a chip run at 3am. Don't even miss them now; however I know not to…

What a cool idea! My goals: 1⃣ be under my caloric daily goal each day. 2⃣ post to MFP daily 3⃣ be present/ conscious when eating or snacking.... No eating out of open bags 4⃣ drink at least 6 glasses of water daily 5⃣ eat homemade meals 5 days a week Tina

I can see that! It's tough when no one in your inside circle is trying to loose weight. That's where social media and MFP pick up the slack. You can surround yourself with folks in the trenches with you. Also, having to log in my food holds me accountable in a way like never before for me. The atta girls made me pause…

Because I hear so much talk about them. I am looking for something to help suppress my appetite.

Where are you all putting these messages. I haven't figured it out yet

Yup, that's about right!

15 pounds is my SUMMER goal! Thankfully my personal goal isn't much more than that.
-
I am tech obsessed therefore I need one.... However my wallet said no!

My summer goals are to continue to use MFP and FB to shake another 15 pounds. I am also working on very light weights. My biggest challenge is to stay injury free (my back and ankle take turns tormenting me) Tina

I am drooling over them- does that count? Lol

Tasty sounding!

Absolutely! Something that keeps your head in the game. My next mini goal and I am thinking about a fitness watch.

Shake things up. If you have a 'regular' exercise routine, throw something new in there. Find a different routine that burns more calories for a few days. Change you old stand by meals. Changing things up will help. Continue to plug away at exercise and eating habits because sometimes you aren't losing weight but you are…

I have tried to lose weight over and over but it's true once you make up your mind, had enough of being over weight a light came on. You need a long time (Andalusia sort term goal(s). Something that will continue to motivate you to do the work day in and day out.

Yes! Hoping to see my grand kids in July!

Thank you for being so transparent about your journey! Those words will stick with me a long time.

Hi Cortney.... It's tough when you compare yourself to others all the time. Your self worth can't just be about what you look like. You are special just because you are YOU. You are better at you than anyone else! Start with a gratitude journal. Task yourself with coming up with 2 things that you are grateful. Weight loss…

Amen to the proven I can't be trusted on my own! So many nights I thought, I've gone to bed without my treat because it would have taken me over my count. That's progress! Yea me

I never thought that logging my food and exercise would make such a difference but after 3 days I was, hooked. It showed me where my food intake was sorely lacking. I have only between on here a couple of weeks. I also realized (aha moment) that I didn't have any RL friends trying to lose weight didn't have to hinder me.…

Hi all. My name is Tina. My knees have bothered me for years.... I have had duo the crab movement or two feet on the same stair for a bazillion years. But I figure if I get some of the weight off I can prolong shots or replacement. Working out has been a challenge but I found a few toning exercises on Fitness Blender that…

Thank you Jorinya! Online gave me access to "friends" who were going after their dreams instead of settling for being the chubby girl. These online friends continue to be the boost and inspiration I needed. I workout at home and walk also. Looking for online friend s who understand the struggle! Tina
