Well you certainly are right not to weigh yourself every day but you can do this once a fortnight/month along with taking measurements. You could get rid of your scales in the house and simply use the same one in a store/friends house/gym for weighing yourself which may also help. Good luck

The kid is five and I have no idea where he heard it from or why he said it. However lets not start laying into the kid or the mother's parenting style.

Same age and on the same journey - good luck and sent a friend request

Best of luck

Good luck. Would be an idea if you are not already doing it to practice the fitness test that will be used.

Best of luck on the journey

Make sure you deal with the underlying issue first by ideally speaking to someone.

Firstly good luck and a few suggestions. Ditch the gin for a month to kickstart yourself before the festive period gets into full swing. You will feel better and your skin should as well. Take a lunch break even if its just a 20-30 minute walk as you will feel better and more importantly your activities levels should rise.…

Start simple and just log every day what you are eating. Ideally eat at a deficit the majority of days and try and incorporate some exercise...walking is fine. You will lose weight...it might be slow sometimes but it will happen.

doing well...keep it up and enjoy yourself

Just into my second month but logged every day...feel free to add

None Best thing to do is to start slowly and log the food you eat. You need to educate yourself with regards to what you are eating. Getting to the point where you regularly eat at a deficit will lead to weight loss.
-
Just start logging 1 day at a time what food you eat and set a realistic goal of a 0.5/1lb lose a week. Don't worry if you have the odd day where you go over. Best of luck

Large pan meat feast pizza from Pizza hut has 283 calories per slice

Just checking did you weigh yourself a good few times to ensure the scales where accurate?

Born there and live just outside it now

The poster above nailed it on the head for me with "logging my food everyday" which has been a real eye opener. Yes the majority of days I have been under deficit but there has been a few days where I have eaten more especially when I have been out. It's important to remember than 1 or 2 bad days a month are not the end of…

I think it will give you a short term fix but will not educate you in any way. I think for the long term its better to change how you eat and shop. You need to be in control so you start to get an idea what calories are in food especially stuff that you used to eat frequently.
-
Ideal scenario is to bring your lunch in or failing that sussing out healthy options. I visit a local sandwich shop often and stopped taking margarine/butter on rolls as they would have been better using a shovel to spread it on rather than a knife!

Good luck and take it one day at a time.....sorry hear about the bullying. Sent FR

Good luck Used to work in an office and will agree that it is not an active role but you can do small things like use the stairs or go for a walk at lunchtime which is great for clearing your head.

No reason you cannot drink although don't save calories just for drinking...eat beforehand

best of luck in the journey

Good luck and there is always plenty of support on here

Just weighing myself once a month as well along with taking measurements. Put the scales in a cupboard which when you open stuff falls out so takes away temptation just to check

If you are working out you will notice you have more energy as the weeks go on = healthier
-
If you feel sluggish are you eating enough of the correct things. Before you rush off to lift weights make sure you have a decent diet.

good luck and you are right....there is a lot of exercises that can be done in the house...even from a chair
