You've put yourself through quite a bit for what ultimately could be a very easily obtained weight loss of 2 pounds a week. I hate to say this but I think you very likely have an eating disorder. Save your vacation money and pay for a therapist and nutritionist. It will pay off in the long run in a healthier, longer life.

You should change your name!

Good work! I bet you feel a lot better.

I'm also pre-op and would love sleevie buddies.

llemar97, I did a lot of research before deciding on the vertical sleeve. The lapband is being phased out because it isn't as effective as other methods and can slip and/or cause erosion. My surgeon said he is doing more and more revisions from band to RNY all the time and many surgeons no longer offer them at all. Go to a…

I'm in the process of being sleeved. I have done the seminar, saw the surgeon who said I was an ideal candidate, have my first appointment with the nutritionist and have nearly everything scheduled. I could have it as soon as late September. I didn't expect it to all happen so soon, so am freaking out a little bit. I'll…

Tennis elbow is further from the elbow than I realized. Maybe check that out online and see if it's a possibility?

I'm considering the sleeve. Add me if you like and we can hash things out.

I have been to the seminar and have my first meeting with the surgeon on June 5th. I'm a granny too. There's a great group on FB for sleevers over 50 that I've found. They're great support.

I'm just starting with the whole sleeve thing. I'd be glad to have you as a friend here.

I've been to the seminar (May 4) and have my first consultation on June 5th. I hope to have it done by the end of the year. I'd be glad to buddy up with you.

Don't judge what you don't know Rockcity85.

Sorry about your foot Bassjones! I'm just beginning the sleeve journey; have my first visit with the surgeon in 3 weeks. I'd say the doctors know far more about this than the rest of us put together so listen to what they tell you. Consider it a prescription and take it the way you are directed.

I've been reading a lot about cross addiction recently and food to alcohol seems to be a huge one. You may be able to have surgery that makes your body limit the food it can take in but you can't fix what made you eat the way you did in the first place. I'm planning on having the sleeve in the near future and have been in…
