  • I've been doing KB workouts for over 2 years now and my joints are fine. I would imagine the risk is similar to anything else, as long as your form is good, and you're not going too heavy for you individual abilities, you should be fine.
  • Friday's workout was another good one! Hot day in London, very hot, so I was kind of drained. I was planning on doing Military Presses with this workout, but the rack was taken. • Several studies have shown during a kettlebell workout, participants burned an average of 13.6 calories per minute aerobically, plus another 6.6 calories per minute anaerobically. “So they were burning at least 20.2 calories per minute, which is off the charts. That’s equivalent to running a 6-minute mile pace. The only…

  • Ok, back at recording now as I've been traveling the past few days. My workout on Wednesday was Fantastic! I was in Prague for work and found a great gym in Old Praha that had kettlebells... • Last night was workout #2. My time was a little slower as my hands are a bit chewed up from the recent KB Snatch work that I've been practicing and I used the 28Kilo KB for my first 3 sets of each cluster. Here is my workout: Cluster 10 Swings (28Kilo KB) 3 Chins 15 Swings (28Kilo KB) 2 Chins 25 Swings (28Kilo KB) 1 Chin…

  • Start with swings, perfect the swing...
  • Here is what I do: 4 minute warmup, walking briskly. At minute 4, I take the treadmill to a sprint, between 13-15km/h. I sprint for 1 minute, then back to a brisk walk. 1 Minute on, 1 Minute off for 17 minutes. At minute 21, I do a 4 minute cool down. 25 minutes total... The key is to make the 'on' sprints as hard as…
  • One of the best posts I've read on MFP... What he said!!!
  • Kettlebell sprints: grab two KBs, space them approximately 30-35 paces apart. Set your stop watch for 20 minutes, do 10 KB swings and spring to the other KB. Do 10 more swings and spring back. Keep doing that for the 20 minutes. You'll be gassed!
