Yup. Totally normal for some. Happened to me and I got so discouraged I went out and gained everything back. Unfortunately, weight loss isn't the body fix-all that it seems like it should be, but it's still worth it!!! If you're very concerned, you can always talk to your doctor, but if you have significant weight to…

I want more friends! I'm on the slow and steady weight loss approach just trying to feel better all around. Diary open to friends.

All at San Diego Comic-Con from 2010-2015 Conan O'Brien - really ON and funny Ellijah Wood - very kind Seth Green - hilarious and obliging David Duchoveny - kind and polite but kinda half there Gillian Anderson - a lil frosty Zachary Levi - kind and engaged Nathan Fillion - charming, energetic, and kind Jim Caviezel -…

the more I do meal prepping and cooking for myself, the worse all fast food/chain foods taste to me tbh

diary open to friends and welcome to more :) I'll echo what an earlier posters said that my meals are kinda all over the place/not always too inspiration-worthy lol

A doctor (who was encouraging me to lose weight) encouraged me to go at about .5 lbs a week for healthy, sustainable weight loss and that seems to be what works for me. I've got a lot to lose and have done some yoyo dieting in the past so I'm into this new method.

Have you cleared this with your doctor? That is a very low calorie amount for your weight. People in here are full of advice and that's great but maybe have a chat with the doc?

You're going to burn out with a diet that boring tbh. Consider some healthier fats, even things like drizzling olive oil over your popcorn, etc. You're going to get more bang for your buck with plant based fats (nuts, avocados for example) than cheese.

I love dips so I like to do things like sugar snap peas with hummus or celery with guacamole so I can get some nice satiating fat while also getting some vitamin-rich veggies. Also just throwing some frozen veggies in with whatever I'm making. Having different fun kinds of fruits as snacks too; trader joe's has a lot of…

I love/hate foam rolling my glutes. highly recommend.

I don't see the point of assuming what people think. There are as many opinions in the FA movement as there are people in the FA movement. You can accept your fat while actively making healthier choices in your life.

That shot was a comment on beauty standards. Plus, Jess Baker's partner is fat and a hottie. It stands to reason that fat women who find themselves hot also find fat men hot. If not then, yeah, they're hypocritical af.

I could write a similar post where I go line by line on my opinion of your opinion of these points but tbh I'm tired of putting this much energy into a debate where neither of us is going to concede an inch. We don't agree on the details but I really think that overall we both agree in loving oneself enough to make…

if you like it, you're still getting more vitamins and fiber and such, right?
-
you've seen that mentality among idiots who've never applied a bit of critical thinking is more like it.
-
yeah, and the poster said they abandoned health as an objective... but then why's it still called asdah and not asd? the website is all about health?
-
who here is trying to say that's ok?
-
asdah and haes are literally specifically all about health... what are you even referring to?
-
they both are sexy to me but what do i know?
-
what are you even talking about??
-
you all are taking what like 12 bad eggs have said and making that what fat acceptance is all about.
-
I'm not looking for your sympathy but don't tell me I'm playing a victim; I'm just describing my life. and FA is the idea that THEY are wrong, not me.
-
or once, a woman just looking me in the eye and going "fatty!" when I was in her way, like... what? ok.
-
are you not getting it? It was overt. It's people saying "move, fatass" or "oh man, it's a whale" or "look, i get to sit next to the behemoth over here." Stop telling me I'm reading too far into it. It's literally people calling me names and being rude to me literally bc I'm fat. And that's why FA needs to exist.
-
this was the quote: "Is an active obese better off than an inactive obese? Sure, but an active lean person has better chances than both."
-
they're like mad I'm in their way. They want to get around me and call me fat. That's what I'm talking about them being mad I'm taking up space. That's literally what's going on. At places like bars or sdcc everyone's in your way but it's somehow more infuriating when a fat person does it. It was just a more succinct way…

meh. looking good is objective. and for me, not something I'd ever want to motivate me. I'm fine with my body, which someone will always find ugly (and someone else will find attractive) no matter what I weigh. with ya on feeling good.
-
I'm sorry that's been your experience. It's unacceptable. I think people make those kind of comments honestly because they're jealous and/or socially inept. When I was younger and stupider I've caught myself saying things like that and I regret it. I try to hope people in situations like work are well meaning but eff if i…

For the record I'm into Jess Baker and Lindy West's brands of fat acceptance if anyone's interested in further reading

Thank you! I am already feeling a lot better and able to learn from past mistakes. Saw a pic today from 5 years ago from when I was about (oh lort) 70 lbs thinner and remember feeling so awful and fat and like such a failure. I ate junk, tbh. Very small amounts of it - CICO does work but you might be messed up about it if…
