  • I have not had children and am currently using the Mirena IUD. Like most birth control, it doesn't make you gain weight. It does stimulate your appetite though. But that's up to you to control your calorie intake.
  • I haven't had motivation for months now. I just take it day by day. Some days are worst than others but I move on.
  • Stopping my binge habit took a lot of hard work on my end. I had to really pay attention to my moods and recognize my own behaviors that lead me to bingeing on food. Meal planning helps, having healthy snacks helps, but the main thing is to be very aware of yourself. I would start feeling bad about something or I would get…
  • Personally, yes I do. I know this gets said about everything, but everyone is different. I bloat a lot before and during my period and finally lose the weight as it ends.
  • Nope. Because that will throw off my progress because I can't control myself and I know myself well enough to just not indulge like that. Instead I just make room for things I love or I find a low calorie version of a favorite recipe. Even at restaurants I find I can re-create my favorite meals and shave off more than half…
  • It sounds like this is more of an emotional thing, like you've stated. The problem with emotional eating is that when we stop doing it we haven't always figured out something else to relieve our stress. So you're kind of left with that hungry feeling because you want to fill that void with food. At least that's how it was…
  • My fiancé proposed to me after I had washed all my make up off, put on my pjs, and my hair was a mess. We had a huge dinner that night (it was actually our anniversary) so I was feeling so bloated and gross. Apparently he still wanted to marry me!
  • I drink diet soda and don't have any issues with my weight loss. I don't notice any cravings either. I mean I crave the soda so I have one and then I'm good. It doesn't increase my cravings for "bad" food or anything like that.
  • I'd like to lose 15lbs before I go to NYC on Father's Day. I'm about 1 1/2lbs away from that goal! :D
  • I don't know if I'd call myself a 'foodie' but I definitely cook a lot and love to try new recipes! My diary is open so if you'd like to add me, you can. :)
  • I love making a small batch of cucumber, tomato and feta salad to take to work with me. I tend to pre-make all my stuff and don't always have access to my work's microwave, so most of my stuff is cold. Another favorite of mine is just some cottage cheese. Tasty and a quick snack.
  • I go every time stuff is getting too loose on me. Which is usually every couple of months. But I typically shop at thrift stores or consignment shops right now because it's way cheaper than buying stuff from regular stores.
  • I don't weigh myself when I'm on my period because I bloat like crazy. I also eat at maintenance because I'm hungry and I'm not depriving my already irritable self.
  • http://www.amazon.com/EatSmart-Precision-Digital-Kitchen-Chrome/dp/B002CM6TVI?ie=UTF8&psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s00 This is mine. I love it and I'm just now changing the batteries after owning it, and using it very often, for almost 2 years now.
  • I love carbs way too much to cut them back/out. I eat carbs and just stay within my calorie goal and I consistently lose.
  • It was kind of a mixture of things for me. A few years back my family was supposed to go to Jamaica for a vacation (we never went) so I thought it would be nice to be more comfortable in my body. So I signed up for WW and weighed in for the first time and the scale read 199lbs. I'm 5'1'' so this is a huge amount of weight…
  • If I change my goal to one pound per week I get a calorie goal of 1280. I'm 5'1'' so I don't have a ton of wiggle room when it comes to calorie goals. Right now I'm just staying under my 1500 goal when I can.
  • Here, here! Dropping almost 250lbs in 7 months is not healthy at all. That show needs to be cancelled or something.
  • Exactly! I have too much going on in my life to worry about a ripple on my leg or a stretch mark on my thigh or stomach. Like whatever lol My fiancé thinks I'm attractive and I like what I see in the mirror and that's kind of all that matters to me. :D
  • Eh my weight goes up and down all the time. I only actually log my weight on Sunday because that's my weigh in day and I log even if it goes up because I like to see my overall trend. Bodies fluctuate so much so I really wouldn't get hung up on the number. Especially after only two days.
  • Eh I'm so over hating things on my body lol. I have stretch marks and my breasts sag because of past weight gain/loss and I have cellulite. I'm also in my twenties and I just can't be bothered to give a crap about some ripples on my thighs. Like you pointed out, OP, skinny people have cellulite too!
  • For yogurt I do what @diannethegeek said. Weigh the container before and then after. Or sometimes if I'm home I have time to put the yogurt into a tupperware container. Especially if I'm going to throw in some extra fruit or something. But as for your initial question, I weigh all of my solids and my liquids I use spoons…
  • The only "woo" I ever did was Slim Fast. Other than that I never bought any supplements because I was too broke to afford that stuff lol. I did WW for a while back when their plan was the Points Plus system but it worked for me. I never felt hungry or anything. I heard they became a lot more strict with their point…
  • Stop doing cheat days. I know that may seem difficult because you'll feel deprived, but indulging here and there is obviously not working for you. Try something different. Maybe try fitting in your favorite foods into your calorie goal so you can still enjoy things but stay on track. For me, I'm the type of person who…
  • Mine is open because I just don't really care. I know what I'm logging and what my numbers are. It doesn't matter what other people are seeing in my diary because the scale is going in the direction I want it to go.
  • Or is it Men Without Snacks?
  • Yup. I will never forget the feeling of seeing the numbers 199 on the scale when I weighed in for the first time at Weight Watchers. That was a huge slap in the face. My ID said 180 because I didn't want to face the reality. Not sure what good that did because the weight is still there even if I chose to ignore it.
  • I stopped beating myself up because I'm human. I'm going to make mistakes. Imagine a friend was going through the same journey as you and they "messed up". Would you get angry with them? Or tell them that it happens and to just move on? Treat yourself nicely. If you wouldn't say the things that you tell yourself, when you…
  • Maybe try tackling some small changes a little bit at a time. Don't have time track through the week? Start portioning out your snacks into bags that way they're pre-weighed and you can track them easier. You can even pre-log your food ahead a few days into the app.
  • Right now my phone background is a quote from Alton Brown "There are no bad foods. Only bad food habits."
