I do take zinc daily so it's not that. On the what I taste it is mainly the umami bit I don't taste well, although it can be any. My stronger tastes are sweet and salty sour and savoury being less strong.

Oh, vern, I really feel for you. I suppose you will just have to test the water and see what's the worst that could happen if you were to slightly increase those boundaries. Maybe you will feel so proud of yourself you will see it's ok. I don't have strict boundaries just guidelines so I can reach my goal.

Cheers for that. I just don't know how to do that while and log it onto myftnesspal. Ie do I measure macros and nutrients by maintenance then eat over or measure by want to gainX amount per week?

Ok, so based in what I've read. If I eat my nutrient levels for ...is it mainenace? Then I eat what I want? But won't this show up as way over the sugar level and carb or fat ...or do I care. I love cheese so I'd go for a couple of crackers on cheese. I'd choose a hard cheese like cheddar or Edam/ Gouda. Although it contains fat it's more satisfying than cottage cheese so you will feel fuller. Plus it's tasty too;)

Actually, my dr said eat more salt Gail and drink more fluid but I swear if I drink any more my stomach will feel like a fish bowl. But thanks for the tips guys I'll certainly try some of these out.

Hi I can totally sympathise how you feel. I'm trying to gain weight but it's hard. I think you should eat more of what you enjoy and hopefully it will entice you to eat more.
