I suppose I would like to lose the weight first and Wreckon that I'd feel demotivated if the scales started going up the way due to muscle. Best to wait?

Hi and thanks for the reply. 6ft 2 and starting weight of 19st12. MFP gave 2lb loss goal and calorie intake of 1810. I'm now 18st9lbs and no change to calorie allowance.

Thanks. Sorry should of mentioned I don't mind the blended soup - but was reading somewhere that this wasn't anywhere near as good for you. Something to do with your body not working to break it down and there being far more calories in for example fruit smoothies than simply eating the fruit
