it's nearly Christmas, loads to things going on involving food & drink. As always I'm enjoying all of them but the difference this year is that on the 'normal' days I'm back on track! No excuses. Last year I would have just said "ah well, it's Christmas (for all of December) I'll start again in January! " and of course…

Previously whenever I started "dieting" I failed. this time I changed my mindset and decided to change my lifestyle to a healthier one. Can I ask why are you starting at 1200 cals a day? it's very restrictive and in my opinion very hard to maintain in the long term. My starting weight was 177lbs, I've kept to 1500 cals a…

no hard and fast solution to this but: - those guys are so into their program they are barely registering anyone else around them so in the nicest possible way, they don't care about you running on the treadmill. - I road run now, love love love it, and seen someone the other day running too, and like you say "not a small…

remember that awful trudge out of the changing room to get the bigger size?!?! I did a happy dance out with size 12s (Irish/UK size) across my arm to go get 10s!!! Bought both! From a 16 to a comfy 10 in 6 months of healthy eating and exercise!

I put my phone on my lap yesterday and it promptly fell to the ground! ! I have a proper gap between my thighs!!! My little girl thought this was hilarious and spent next ten minutes dropping my phone though said gap and laughing! :D

Hello there sister! I've just had terrible weekend! Up 2 pounds this morning. Do something really positive like a work out or a run or whatever you enjoy doing. Back on track as soon as you can, log your indulgences and leave them behind you! You didn't gain all your weight in 1 weekend! Plus remember that those 3 pounds…

You've just made the hardest step! Weigh in now, don't wait until tomorrow. Start counting and you'll be back on track in now time!!
-
Just keep going, as you come closer to your goal weight it's going to slow down. Be exta accurate with your logging. You know this, just remember why you started and how far you've come! 24 lbs is awesome!
-
Remind yourself why you started and how far you've come!
-
Congratulations! Amazing result!
-
Brilliant post! Sums me up too!!!
-
I deadlifted my own body weight tonight!!!

Thanks everyone!

It rained so hard all day today but I had such a bad cal day yesterday I had to go out for a run. Ran 5K in the rain, got splashed by a car, came home drenched and SO SATISFIED!!! Also, heavy night last night so feeling a bit ropey today, so to do this instead of just slouching for the day is monumentous!!

Hey Jeannie I booked a trainer for 2 hours a week at the start and he put me on 1500 cal days, I thought this was high but it's worked! I also eat back some of my additional exercise cals. Macros of 40/30/30 which I keep an eye on but don't follow too strictly. If I'd started on 1200 or 1300, I don't think I'd have lasted…

Thank you ladies! Still about 10 lbs to go and then the hard part - maintenance!!!
-
Oh my god, I'm so glad it's not just me!!!! What's that about!?!?! When I said I'd lost 25 pounds, they were like "Whaaaaat??" Thanks for noticing girls!
-
Well done on your initial loss and even more well done for maintaining for so long! Just shows how important it is to keep logging. I haven't hit goal yet but know I'll have to keep up the good habits! You'll be back in range in no time!!

I was complaining about being cold yesterday and the girl I was having lunch with said "That's cause you're so skinny now!". Skinny!!! Ha, no where close to skinny but was great to hear! :)

Could it be mind over matter? Great quote "Your mind gives up before your body does!". I've built up to running 20 mins straight, like you 60 seconds was a push at the start! And I have days when I think I'm going to have to stop after just 5mins. But I psych myself up, think of my goals and keep going, and usually my body…

" i don´t weigh my food either. i go by the generic stuff on MFP and just eyeball" You've probably answered your own question. It's imperative to be really particular about what you're eating
