It's just annoying, because they "reset" after everything (i.e., even if I manage to get enough bell peppers, they go straight back to "three slices of onion" mentality for the next item. There are plenty of other sandwich places that will give me better veggie options, so Subway seems like an unnecessary battle.

I finally found a vegetarian marshallow brand that has the taste/texture of the real thing, so I highly suggest Trader Joe's marshmallows for all you sweet potato and hot chocolate needs.

My biggest trouble is logging dal...I never know if I've accidentally gotten a liquid-heavy serving or a dal-heavy serving. If you're making your sabzis at home, I'd recommend the recipe builder. Quinoa? The red is a nice vibrant, festive color, and you can add seasonal things like cranberries and pecans. It's also one of those foods that can work well as a real main for you and a decent side dish for the others, without clashing with more traditional food.

If I recall correctly, vitamin C helps with iron absorbtion. Since veg*ns tend to have higher vitamin C intake, the lower iron intake is usually negated.
