Dear lovelies,
I am just 2 days old in mfp...so new here, as if now don't have the proper weighing tools in my kitchen. My query is...i can log ky Indian food intake by searching the database...however, if i eat just half a bowl of sabji ie vegetable curry then how to log in terms of serving size?

Welcome! Are you going to eat the other half later or are you sharing it with someone?1

If you find an entry for one serving and you are eating half of that, you can enter it as 0.5 servings.0

My biggest trouble is logging dal...I never know if I've accidentally gotten a liquid-heavy serving or a dal-heavy serving.
If you're making your sabzis at home, I'd recommend the recipe builder. It lets you put in all the ingredients and how many servings it makes, and then you can easily log it from there. (It saves, so you don't have to do that every time, just once per recipe.)2
