Anyone can add me!

Lost 45lbs in about 6 mos. I didn't see my body change until I got down to where I'm at, but that's because I'm was so big. Depends how much you have to lose. I want a flat stomach, so the last few pounds have been the hardest. Seeing muscle's I've never seen on me before is very rewarding!!

Diet and exercise work against each other. You need to track something else. The scale is a liar of what is actually happening. Take pictures, measure arms, torso, etc with a tape measure. Don't be discouraged. Your body isn't a microwave. Eating right can be a learning curve. Don't be discouraged, you are doing the right…

Well done!

Plus, the calorie credits for activities can be a bit high. But, that's something altogether different. Make sure you're getting enough fiber/veg. If you are eating a steak sarnie every meal, that could do badly. I don't believe this is your case, though. Take a week off. Set your goal to 0 lbs/week, for just 7 days and…

Seems like either you shouldn't be so hard on yourself, because over time you'll get there, or, not to be harsh, but decide that the 10 lbs is more important than the snack, find alternatives and just do it. I love run on sentences.

Dad of 3, same!

THIS! And, you _do_ have to eat properly for the duration. Doesn't mean you can't ever eat bad things. It's what you're doing overall that counts. One bad day isn't fatal, perhaps even good if it keeps you on the wagon, long term. Every day a bad day could legally be fatal, after time.

It sounds like you're doing it all correctly. Don't be discouraged! Your body will do what you want. It's hard, but just give it time. Your patience will be rewarded. In the mean time, measure as many things as you can, and use the picture function of the progress section of the mobile app. You're doing great!

Add me! Always looking for new friends!

My kids need a dad, not a blobular couch potato. Looking better doesn't hurt, either!

Didn't read all posts, but, Garmin Vivofit 2. Love it. Comes with heart rate chest strap. HTH!

9 months in. Not giving up, now. Add me!
-
Me, too. Add me!

@julezy88 Shifting 2 stone (losing 28 lbs to us 'Mericans) is a really good goal! And, you already know you can do it. Only gaining that after 2 kids is pretty good, too!
-
Add me, too!
-
So, how was it?!?
-
Quitting smoking can be the hardest thing ever. Good job, seriously!
-
Enjoy it! Then, back to carrots and celery... :)

I agree with @middlehaitch. If your deficit is unreasonable, you'll get cranky or worse, binge. Sometimes more is just more.
-
I'm trying like crazy. Better slow than not at all, though!
-
It was a couple weeks, anyway. I knew I had to start because I looked like I was sick. Losing weight without lifting equals losing muscle, too.
-
Patience. Sounds like you're doing everything else right. Give it time.

The site aworkoutroutine.com has some sensible advice. I'm doing it now and it seems to be working. I'd start there.

Request sent!

Others are right. Eat the Kit Kat! Just don't make it a habit. If you never give yourself a treat once in a while, it's easier to give up.
